Switching from Propecia to Proscar

I know they're both the same med, but has anyone had problems with switching from propecia 1mg to proscar 1.25mg... maybe other than increased side effects. I guess I'm looking for someone who took Propecia for a period of several months then switched over to Proscar. I would like to take Proscar now but I'm having problems finding a GP that will prescribe it for me in my area. The Proscar in the long run will save me lots of money and I just have a hard time paying over $600 dollars a year when the same med under a different name would only cost me $260 a year. I also don't wanna risk buying products off a website w/o an Rx. so instead of me going on I'll stfu ... I'm sure you get what I'm saying by now

I made the switch after 6 years on Propecia everyday to 1/4 pill of Proscar on Monday, Wends, Friday, Sun.

Haven't notived anything different. I've had some shedding but they may be becasue I started topicals too. To early to tell. It has been about 6 weeks on Proscar

Dont forget its the same thing... if your worried about the extra .25mg each day, just miss every 5th day. But realistically it shouldn't make ANY noticable change side effects wise. Ive been on Proscar for almost 4 years... NO NO NO sides at all.

Where do you come up with your stuff...... It's getting old. You always seem to have something to say but nothing to back it up...

Thanks for the feedback cassin and md. I think TynanW has had one funny post out of his 1k+ post and that was the
"shave your head, get a tan and go to the gym post"

But hes from the UK and most of the people there are retarded anyway so he gets a get out of jail free card on that one.

I'll switch over from the propecia to the proscar once I find a doctor that will write me an Rx for it.

thanks again guys.
