It inhibits PGD2 because it's COX2 inhibitor.
COX2 it's source of PGD2 but also PGE2 and PGF2a (those are necessary for hair grow).

Quercetin is not bioavailable, it gets glucuronidated even when administered intravenously.

"After the liver, quercetin exists in the blood solely as quercetin glucuronides.[24] Regardless of initial source, all forms of quercetin undergo hydrolysis and get glucuronidated in the liver before being released into systemic circulation."

Two months in , doesn’t do jack

I've taken it for years. Like many nutitional supplements they may maintain your health but a dramatic impact of its effects are not evident. I'm very healthy, but is it because I've taken supplements and live a healthy lifestyle or genetics? No way to know unless I went back in time and didn't take anything. However, quercetin did not stop my hair loss. You can examine this link and there are references to studies there on the stuff.

On a second thought, all types of onion are high in quercetin. Which makes me connect dots here. A youtuber who goes by the name of “Stephan” grew a hell lot of hair back with OGV - onion , garlic vinegar topical.

It is possible he wasn’t suffering from male pattern baldness and his loss could have been from fungal/bacterial infection, and by using garlic his scalp inflammation reduced and hair grew back as they would without the presence of any infection. But an equally competing narrative that he solved his male pattern baldness by using something as simple as onion that is high in quercetin helped blocked pgd2, which helped him grow his hair back.

I can be wrong with both theories, or right.
