Relatively new to the forums and been doing a bit of reading over the past month to gain a better understanding of my hairloss situation and potential ways to slow it down. I believe I suffer from male pattern baldness, my father went bald in his 20's yet both my brother and I had seemed to be avoiding this situation. I am now 32 and probably started noticing some thinning maybe 3-4 years ago now. The thinning has got more noticable and figure I should have a crack at slowing it down. Luckily for my brother who is 5yrs older, his hair is as thick as ever with zero receding hairline.

At the moment I have introduced Nizoral and Revivogen into the mix...and added in Rogaine or should I be using Rogaine as a replacement for Revivogen? I was thinking about trying this route before looking at finasteride but looking at my pics should I not wait any longer?

Suggestions and comments are appreciated.

When I finally bit the bullet (last week) to do something about my hairloss, I went on the big three. No sides as of yet. My current regimen is: Rogaine (twice a day), Fincar (or any reputable generic pill) (1.25mg taken in the morning) and Nizoral (2 to 3 times a week).

Side note: I was on Fincar 5 years ago and had success but stopped. There's no good argument for my stopping. Let's just say I came to the realization that going bald wasn't a bad thing (stupid me). I should have stuck with the Fincar. As mentioned, I saw a noticeable improvement. I did get aches in the testicle area after a few weeks of taking Fincar but it went away (I can't remember how long it took). The ache wasn't that bad and it only reminded me that the med must be working.

Hope this helps.

Cheers for the feedback. I am going to head into the doctors and get booked into a dermatologist. Start with understanding if I am suffering from male pattern baldness. I am wondering of some of it is stress/anxiety related as well but we shall see what they say. With further reading it appears that those big 3 seem to be the recommended approach for a lot of cases. Be great if there was an all natural route but alas I don't think it exists :(
