Maystor, must only be available in the UK. Much like the I player. I think having watched it, that the points the OP was making have been pretty thoroughly debunked...
so I was watching this awful British dating show on ITV where 30 girls scrutinize a man before deciding if they want to date him.
this bald guy comes down and practically all of the women turned their lights off - he wasn't bad looking and apparently quite wealthy but still none of the shallow b!tches wanted to date him. Some of the women even cited him being bald as the reason they rejected him :2gunsfiring_v1:
I'd like to see a similar show where 30 guys get to scrutinize and criticise a woman before rejecting her. But of course, that would be un-PC so it would never be greenlit
rotest:
10 switched their light off before he started speaking to them.
11 more switched off immediately after he said that the house he was building was next to his mum's.....However you look at it, more women were put off by the arguably too close relationship with his parents. I can attest to that, women don't tend to want a man who is tied to the parental apron strings....
so a third switched off purely on looks alone
and another third switch off.
this and the karate thing were convenient excuses so they didn't have to admit it was the baldness that put them off. A wealthy man building his own house? Who in their right minds would reject him because of that - so what that it was next to his parent's house. And why would women turn off because he does karate? A fit sporty man who can defend her if necessary? That smells of BS to me. The baldness was the biggest factor, I'm sure of it
he was left with two to decide between. Most other good looking men with full heads of hair on the show are left with a lot more than that - they are spoilt for choice, he wasn't.
UC Man, that's more than an exageration. It's a fabrication otherwise known as a lie. He did have "shallow b!tches" who wanted to date him. In fact he had the choice of two attractive women. Practically all of the women did NOT turn their light off as soon as he emerged. Both of these things (no pun intended) are bald faced lies!
I don't know about TV shows but I do know real life. You don't have to read minds most of the time to know what people are thinking because most people reveal their true thoughts/feelings by their facial expressions and responses in that first moment of seeing you. Bald guys are like walking tests. We can separate the worth while from the superficial based solely off their their response to our appearance. Some pass while others fail. Such has been my experience.
Even if what you assume is true, 65%ish is not practically all. It's two thirds. You said none of them wanted to go on a date with him. Again, untrue. And you have no basis for your assumptions.
Many women turned the light off because of his living arrangement, as it was immediately after he said about the house next to his parents.
Let's not forget the way he made it sound like he ended up with no date at the end when he had 2 choices or the fact someone mention guys with hair have ended with no dates.
You don't know how many of those woman rejected him for his baldness.
I just hate how he is making out that the ones who never said if they liked bald people or not really do dislike bald people but didnt say just so they didnt look shallow or used other excuses...its pathetic we dont know you cant assume things.
exactly. If he hadn't been rich and 'alpha male', or had a horseshoe style, it would have been a total blackout and he would have slinked off alone and humiliated.
