Hi,

1. I'm using tape only (Walker UH& Walker mini) , can't use glue - from your knowledge and/or experience -
What is the minimum skin thickness required for the skin won't be damaged / tear / rip when removing the tape from it?

2. I saw a video from Newlacecu about a vacuum / self-adhesive system - sounds to good to be true? Any opinions / experience?

Video Link >

3+4. Am I the only one who can't search the forum?:confused:
Anyway, since I can't search previous reviews about Newlacecu, can anyone share info about them?

Thanks guys!

Hi Gordon

It's pre-glued rather than vacuum. At first glance that seems like a good idea, but:

(a) I think it would be really difficult to apply single-handed. It would be OK for a salon, or maybe if you have a wife or girlfriend (or boyfriend) who is able to help you get it on. You can just imagine it sticking to your fingers and your biohair. And one wrong move, if the base flops over at the wrong time, now it's stuck on your scalp in the wrong position. Looks like it would be quite painful to pull off too.

(b) it would seem to be designed for one use only, so presumably disposable after 4 weeks maximum (I think that's absolutely the longest time you could contemplate keeping the piece on for from a hygiene point of view). If it's not disposable then you have to get that glue off and apply your own glue in the usual way for the second and subsequent applications.

All in all I'm not sure it's that useful an innovation, at least for the DIY wearer. Maybe for a salon.

I'm wearing a Newlacecu unit at the minute (not a pre-glued one) and I'll drop you a PM about that.

You are the best Noah! 10X

Note the at list from the video and the comments they replied they are talking about maintenance every week, and per-adhesive lasts for 3-5 month...as I said, sounds 2 good 2 b true :)

Self adhesive system or vacuum system?
There are both of them.
First of all the self adhesive system is nothing new to me.
Just look at this https://www.contactskin.com/contactskinspeed/
Somewhere I saw a vacuum system too. It doesn´t need glue, is thicker than a regular one. As you know of "vacuum" there would be only one weak place then the whole thing can easily lift from your head.

But somehow I wonder If there isn´t quite a good skin safe glue that holds for several weeks. Everything evolves so quickly but the glues of a hair system somehow doesn´t . Ghost Bond / Walker or whatever is at least 10 years old. Just go into a hardware store you can buy a glue which holds houses together but for a hair system, nothing good.
