Hey Guys I'm new to this forum. I'm a 21 year old male and have been noticing hair thinning/receding this past year.i went to a dermatologist and he said he does not think its male pattern baldness. I have been really stressed to the point where I'm getting insomnia. Also, I'm getting really bad itches on my head followed
with seborrheic dermatitis. He thinks the loss is due to inflammation but I just don't know at this point.

The first picture was from February 2016

I don't think you guys will be able to tell but my hair has thinned out on top by a lot

Telegon Efflium and other temporary hairloss, affect ALL hair on your head

If its in Patterns, then its probably male pattern baldness, i cant tell if you are balding TBH, but that spot on your crown looks like more than a cowlick

Did you buzz your sides? Otherwise I fear it might be retrograde alopecia.

Yeah they are buzzed, my sides has always been like that. I'm just more concerned how the peak of the temple has thinned out drastically

Yeah that's what I thought to, to add in more detail I do have a double crown though

For good reasons i dont know your hair - but i would consider seeing another doctor or dermatologist, horrible truth is that most doctors and dermatologist know jack sh*t about hairloss

2½ years i went to a doctor who told me i was crazy, and that a had a "lions mane" - iam now noorwood 3

A good rule of thumb is - that if you are feeling and seeing something about your hair is off - then it probably is,

but dont stress so much, if its male pattern baldness, it VERY early, and you might be able to gain a couple of years on treatments

Thanks for the reply, I'm just not willing to go on finasteride or use minoxidil. is their any other alternative treatments that are more natural?

And can the seb derm be causing some hairloss?

Finasteride & Minoxidil are the only proven treatments

Natural products like Biotin, MSM, Saw Palmetto, Omega 3, Zink etc. might strengthen Healthy hair, but are not proven to combat male pattern baldness at all

Serb. derm. i dont know much about - but on this forum, people often associate it with the start of male pattern baldness
