Temple recession

Hi.

I'm sure this kind of thread comes all the time, but i have to ask.

I started to notice my temples receed about 6 months ago, i was about 20, 5 at the time. I had not noticed any recession before that, but my hairline have always been kind of U shaped.

I have added pictures of the recession.

Do you guys think this is anything to worry about, or am I just paranoid?

There is some baldness in my family, but also some good hair growth.

Oh, and I was shedding like crazy a couple of months ago, but I am no longer losing more than a 100 hairs per day, I think. But I do lose some small hairs... Is that bad or good?

Hope to get some answers :)

Im sorry but yes, the hairs at your temples is clearly miniutarizing, which means they get thinner and thinner for every cycle. They also lose their color which I'm sure you soon will become aware of. It is a slow, but painful process which can only be stopped or reversed with Finasteride and perhaps Rogaine.

Take it from someone who´s gone through the exact same thing and it started out just like that.

My temples did\are doing the EXACT same thing as yours.

If you don't want to risk further recession, start finasteride and\or minoxidil immediately. You'll hopefully keep ALL your hair and you'll definitely be glad you caught it very early!

Thanks for the answers, guys.

I have begun treatment a couple of months ago:

- Minoxidil
- Green Tea
- Saw Palmetto
-A ketoconazol shampoo

I have not begun with finasteride though. It's kind of hard too get a hold of where I live, and I am worried about the side effects. Is it really the only dht inhabitor that works?

I took Saw Palmetto (P*R*O*C*E*R*I*N variant) for about 8 months and in that time I don't believe it did anything. If you do a bit of Google research you'll find that many believe the sides of Saw Palmetto are the same as finasteride but you don't get the benefit of finasteride. Personally, mixing Daktarin (miconazole nitrate) with 5% minoxidil (1 application every other day) has been the most successful. This is only based on my experience. I have recently been taking (just over a month) Dr Reddy's Finast (quartered) with no sides. For the first month it was a quarter a day but decided after the first month to have a quarter every other day. Just the other night when I was putting the minoxidil on by wife commented how 'thick' my hair has become. Result!

Yes, it is the only thing that works. I've been taking 1/4 proscar for 1,5 year and I've had zero side effects. It is very uncommon to have them, and if you do, just stop and they go away.

I buy all my proscar of the internet, at a couple of online pharmacies and I will continue to do so. As long as you order from reliable sites its all good.

Don't know where you're located, but hopefully it's not Canada. Those guys don't like importing any sort of drugs.

Here's my song and dance that I give to people just starting on their hairloss fight......
http://www.4rx.com/online-pharmacy/cate ... pecia.html

I've been taking Finasteride from them for the last 3 years. My hair loss went from 200 hairs a day to about 25, so I know it wasn't just a sugar pill or something like that. They have online support for questions, and they told me this: "We have more than one supplier for the same medication and we ship out according to the availability of the stock. We carry generic Propecia manufactured by GenPharma, Sunrise, Cipla and Intas Lab Pvt."

If you're worried about budget, then I would suggest going for 90 1mg caps first. If you don't have a problem with sides then make your next order the 5mg caps and you can quarter them (1.25mg) to save some money.

2 money saving tips if you go there...
1: Let's say you want 90 caps. Add the 30 caps to your cart instead. It will take you to a checkout page, but it will also give you a chance to upgrade your order to 90 pills for $7 cheaper. Same goes for if you want to get 360, add 180 to your cart first
(this only works for the 1mg pills, not the 5mg)

2: Use the promo code Q52EM37T during checkout for another 10% off. That's my promo code that I got for being a return customer, so feel free to use it :)
(this works for anything you buy there)

Here's my story, so you know that I'm trying to sell you on the product...not the website :)

Hi again.

My hair is basically the same as it was when i posted this thread, but some of the fizzy hair at the hairline have fallen out.

It seems like there is an area of miniaturized hair which is meant to go away.

My question is: Could this be a so called mature hairline or is that out of the question?

I'm excited to see if these small hairs disappear and I am left with a "wall" of healthy hair at my hairline.

Btw, I still use Minoxidil, the shampoo, and I changed my diet a little.
