Temple Regrowth HELP Me

Guys, as I said many times before I'm on finasteride and minoxidil since last May (i'm 22), I really cannot regrow hair on my temples, I guess they're a bit "deep" and i don't know how to ****ing regrow my hair there, i was inclined to get a hair transplant next summer but i thought I could restore my hairline in 5-6 years on meds, though after 11 months I don't have great results, especially on temples and generally on my hairline, anyway I'm still NW2 with a very thick head of hair.
How long should I stay on minoxidil to achieve a good regrowth on temples?

*I'm really depressed right now, because of that.

Thank you

Do a google for swisstemples. It's a interesting regimen for temple regrowth (I haven't tried it). The temples are tough. I use Ru + stemyoxidine, nizoral 2%, lipogaine, 16% minoxidil with finasterade (I've only added the topical finasterade recently) daily for about 2 years now. I even add in fluridil on top of this sometimes. And this regimen only keeps my temples passable with the fringe brushed down. They still look receded if I was to go with a short hairstyle.

Your avatars are super weird looking...

Most people don't regrow temples. They're usually the first thing to go and usually can only be restored by hair transplant.

Do you have a closeup pic of your temples. If you have even tiny hair or vellus by this time you have a chance. If its smooth as marble then maybe not and your only option for the temples may be hair transplant.

I can tell you my eperience. First 3 months nothing. In 6 months only vellus. At 9 months, very tiny but pigmented hair growing out from current hairline forward. 12 months, tiny becoming less tiny but unnoticable unless you look close into the mirror. 15 months, some tiny becoming stronger, same story repeating and v v slowly coming forward. My guess is it will take 2 years to do what other areas do in 6 months.

The Norwood 2 mature hairline does affect what someone looks like. Any amount of hair loss at all noticeable to others affects what you look like. Its just because most men get Norwood 2 its often dismissed as being something worth treating until it goes farther. Everyone has their opinions whether right or more often wrong ones.

In my opinion with the right haircut a norwood 2 does not affect your appearance.

If it does, it's most likely by a half a point or something.

But I guess everyones different...

Hairline can be salvaged but temple lateral areas are much more difficult

What's annoying is that I can tell my temples are still capable of growing. But I can imagine I'd need dutasteride, high dose ru, oral spironolactone? what else...
And I'd last a single day on that regimen cause of sides!

it will marginally affect someones appearance, but when kept cropped it is still presentable.

For those with prominent foreheads, a NW2 alone can ruin their appearance because of the added asymmetry towards their aesthetics throws off the facial harmony.

The best approach is to always keep it high, and tight. Popular hair cuts such as a crew cut, and flat top with a fade on the sides near the temple points can be a saving grace. Longer styles in the medium-long category can actually accentuate the negative effects of a NW2.

Medium-length haircuts can be pulled off, depending on the person.

But you got to have density if you're gonna pull off something in those lengths.

Yes, he has, he was balding and he fixed it many years ago (there are plenty of photos on google), now he's almost perfect. CASE CLOSED.

Anyway, I'm 22 and developing beard connectors, i can't jump on dutasteride, can i regain my temples only taking finasteride and minoxidil 5% (plus nizoral twice a week and 1 biotin tab a day)?

Even if you did regrow them, they would be the first to go when your genes inevitably overpower treatment. If you want temples filled hair transplant is the only option unless you're a 1% top responder.

Flase, if you regrow it and stay on meds, you'll keep it.

He's not thinning, AGAIN, he's always with that thin right temple but very thick front, he wasn't like that 10 years ago, i've posted HERE plenty of pics of him balding and dramatically thinning on top and front (see my previous post about Becks), he fixed it, just like Robbie Williams/B.Cooper/A.Levine/D.Craig and many other celebrities.

I think you need 5 posts before you can start a new thread.
My father is in his 60's and is a nw1. I'm in my 20's and would be flat out bald if it weren't for my treatments!

It does look like you've got some miniaturising hair on your hairline. But don't worry too much. It may stay as it is for years. Keep an eye on it and do some research into the current treatment options. Primarily: finasterade, minoxidil and nizoral.
