Hi, just need some advice.

I'm taking Dr Ashcrofts propecia, 2.5 every other day as he advised. Im 18. I'm also on minoxidil (liquid, kirkland) and have a very bad receding hairline. The thing is, my temples have filled up with millions of baby hairs (due to minoxidil), but beacuse theyre so light and thin, they cant be seen. I really cant get these to thicken up. I've also noticed that my frontal recession is continuing faster than the baby hairs are thickening. Any suggestions to thicken the frontal hairs? Ill post some pictures soon.

How long have you been using minoxidil? It takes a year to get the full benefit. Also the temples are the hardest thing to regrow. Good luck to you.

Erm its been almost a year. Thanks for the reply tho, I guess it is good that I have managed to cover my temples with tiny baby hairs. Fingers crossed lol!!!

Hey that is a good thing!! Look you did not lose hair and in fact got some regrowth. To me that is great success my friend.

I read somewhere that copper peptides like Folligen or Tricomin can help turn those vellus hair into more pigmented terminal hairs... but this is just speculation as far as I know since there is no solid proof. Worth a shot!

I've had tons of baby hairs in the frontal areas since very early
in the treatment and almost a year on Tricomin with no change. They are all
still small and light. But everyone responds to different things so it's worth a
shot. And I like the way Tricomin makes my hair look and feel so it's worth
it from that standpoint.

I'm going to amend what I posted. When I read your question my first thought was my soft baby hair had
not turned into terminal hairs. But I do have quite a bit of new terminal hair but it seems to just pop
up all of a sudden. I was assuming that these were not baby hairs to start with but I have no reason to
think that. I was picturing, I guess, half light/white hairs with dark roots. So I might be shedding those fine
light hairs and the next hair that comes in is terminal.

it's now been over an year when I first noticed my first longer than normal baby hairs and 10-15% has changed to terminals.. So it can be very slowly and all of them may never be terminals.. I still have about 1cm wide area full of 3-5mm long baby hairs..

Bold, whats are you using at the moment? I seem to have some 'termina hairs' but theyre like ingrowing hairs, like dark dots under the skin.
