The grand rogaine question I have always pondered

For ease of use...If you didn't want to use minoxidil twice a day...

Is using more rogaine once a day close enough to using the standard dose twice a day? The Rogaine foam directions state to use half a cap but I tend to use about 60% to 80% of the cap once a day.

I suspect this is close enough...perhaps a small drop in results but I believe I have maxed out on regrowth so for me its all about maintenance anyway.

I think Bryan has stated in the past that twice a day is or close to saturation anyway. I could be wrong but I believe he has stated that. And I believe it was based on one of his countless studies he has collected.

I really want to know this too. Most days I only get around to smearing that crap on my temples once a day. I'm still using liquid too! Maybe with the foam i can get back to a more consistant 2x daily.

Similar to the question I asked. I have been using Minoxidil once a day (at night) for about 10 months, simply because it makes my remaining hair look even worse than usual, hence I am reluctant to use it in the morning. (No foam where I am, only solution.)

But if it does make a difference, I will have to use twice a day. I noticed some small improvement at once a day after about six months, but it seems to have "worn off" now after about 10 months.

I'd prefer to use the foam 1x day. The 1st application styles pretty well, no complaints there. But the 2nd application is like me well... using mousse twice a day. Hair looks like it has too much product and it flattens out.

On a different note is Michael Barry a regular member or someone who works in the hair community?

From my experience just putting more on for one application will not equal two applications, infact I once used it 3x a day for almost 2 months when I was laid up and not working and it even improved my hair over 2x. Only problem was when I went back to 2x, I lost the extra. My suggestion is use it twice a day, with the foam it is not a hassle.

I started with finasteride first.

So 3 years combined with both Finasteride and Minoxidil.
