Is it just me or does anybody else feel like there head is constantly itchy and they want to scratch like mad?? Seems to get worse in the shower??

I use Nizoral every second day and im now using T-Gel ever other day been using the Nizoral for about a month now but still i cant get rid of the itch.

The story with my hair is that ive diffused all over the last few months and im starting to see some receeding on my forehead. Before that i had really thick hair so this is all a bit of a blow to me.

I started on finasteride yesterday and im hoping this helps my hair loss.

Can anybody help, cause im still in shock about this itching hair loss thing!!!??

Cheers

I agree with the suggestion to use a copper peptide, Trocomin or Folligen. Do you also use a conditioner after using Nizoral? I found that if washed my hair with Nizoral and didn't use a conditioner, my head itched, but after adding a conditioner, the itching stopped.

No. Don't buy Copper-Peptide shampoo/conditioner of any company. It is a waste as Cu's need to sit on the scalp for awhile to work.

The spray is a great product though.

What you need to do is drop T/GEL and just use Nizoral twice a week. You are probably drying out your scalp by such an abrasive sub-derm combo. Some guys can do what your doing with no problems, but not all of us. Consider a rehydrating conditioner and leave it on the scalp and hair for at least 5 minutes.

By conditioner I meant the kind of conditioner that you use like shampoo, after using shampoo. Nizoral dries your scalp by itself.

Give the finasteride time to kick in - I got itching for at least 3 weeks until it stopped after using the pills. Also a good conditioner does help as does a good anti-dandruff shampoo such as head and shoulders on the days you aren't using nizoral. T-gel may be a bit harsh so you may want to experiment with other products til you settle into a routine.

I've just started on folligen - not sure how it'll help the hairloss - but from what others have said it's good for overall scalp health while you try out what's good for you
