The logical reasoning regarding hair loss

Hey guys,

Spoiler alert, the next few paragraphs are not for the faint headed.

Hair loss is a tender issue, most guys don't want to except the fact that they are going bald. This was me 6 years ago. But the fact of the matter is, if your going bald... there is absolutely no stopping that train. Many of us somehow are fooled into thinking there is, only because hope is our only hope in this case haha. Money hungry businessmen have realised this and now you see men throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars on treatments that will NEVER work out. Simply put, balding is not caused by factors that a human can alter. Its a DNA issue. If people claim they can alter this, they are simply lying. No matter whatever compound they discover that seemingly stops DHT or other hair-loss problems on the scalp, you HAVE to get in the DNA of a man and CHANGE it to stop a man going bald, let alone REVERSE the scenario.

My intention here is to just save us poor blokes hard earned money. Because I know that business men know these facts and instead of help these men into there fragile baldness, have decided to employ marketers and professional liars to set up businesses and milk cash from the cows. Places like advanced hair studios and ashley and martin are a few to name the least. I received "treatment" with the former. No effect at all. I should have done my research first, but I was 18 and eager to get it early and figured these guys who GUARANTEED results would help me save my precious hairs. If you do complete a thorough research first, you will know the best thing is to talk to your doctor or dermatologist. They wont even mention AHS or ashley martin because these guys aren't even medical grade. They will prescribe medicine, but don't even take those. I told you balding is in the DNA, don't poison yourself.

But further on AHS and ashley martin. These guys are absolute jokes and should be chased with pitchforks out of every country. I'm telling you they are milking the balding man cow. I have thoroughly researched and recently debated with one of their client services manager. Here's a few points to consider before forking your hard earned chase to these scam artists.

Firstly : They offer LASER treatment as a means of hair regrowth. Laser destroys hair. Laser hair removal is a medical practice. Laser hair regrowth makes no sense at all. If you said "Laser Hair Regrowth" to a dermatologist, they would probably laugh at you. Upon telling this to the client service manager, he said "we use a cold laser". No such thing exists, and logically speaking would never exist. Upon telling him that, he changed it to "low-level laser that is scientifically proven". Look, laser burns hair follicles. No matter what "level" you put it on, it's still laser. It's LIGHT. It's not gonna somehow start magically nourishing hairs!! And COLD laser!?!?! Laser is laser because it's energy, energy makes things hot. Massive LOL. So why do they include laser? As soon as the word laser appears on treatment, it seems legit right? How else can the jack up the price? by sneakily using a "high-end" machine that doesn't actually do anything. Sounds good.

Secondly: Serenoa or saw palmetto. Some say it works. It think even if it does, it wont be noticable or last longer than a few months. Unless you put it on your head everyday, and as soon as you stop so will it's effects. Plus it stinks. Now all that being said. AHS charges an arm and a leg. I know a guy getting organic saw palmetto from solomon islands sourced via a family patented business. He offers 3 treatments for 110$. Thats 3 months for 110 bucks. So what's with AHS and there pricing?? Guess that "laser" is really REALLY expensive huh?

Thirdly: SCIENCE. Okay so these guys claim guaranteed results and charge so much for it. There must be HEAPS of proof of results right? You guessed it, there is literally NOTHING!!! I asked that manager and he kept babbling on about some all-knowing professor at Monash uni. So I called them asking for these studies. They brought up ONE study. one UNPUBLISHED study. I called the professor who conducted this study, he said they monitored positive SIGNS. He also said, the study was never published because they ditched it because no one wanted to participate. NO STUDENTS WANTED TO PARTICIPATE!! He also said AHS wanted to keep this a secret so I guess they decided to never publish or talk about this again. So of course they dug there own grave there. But I also researched every other aspect of there so called treatment. Nothing comes up. No laser(no legitimate research was even conducted on laser hair regrowth). Not even conclusive evidence on saw palmetto. Search all this up on google scholar people, seriously they don't have the right to charge the public so much and falsely advertise it. We should be cracking down on these guys!! They are charging thousands like they have found some miracle cure, but they are just straight up thieves.

Fourthly: They are just marketers and lawyers. Sorry, liars. And shane warne. I didn't know shane warne was a hair regrowth specialist? Though, I did know he was a liar haha ;) All there spokes people are. Guys that'll do anything for a dollar. Please, we can get these guys out of here. Contact consumer affairs and file a complaint. Bald men are vulnerable and will spend BIG money on the slightest hope. They have seen this and exploited it. It's hard enough going bald. Don't need to lose thousands on top of that. Let's do something right as baldies and stand together.

I do not wish to give my name and stuff for security purposes, you can contact me on this post and I will try to keep an eye on it. First time using this, didn't know where else to voice my logic. But yeah, anyone have any ideas to get these clowns out of australia, LET'S DO IT!!!

Dude, I'm sorry if you're angry because you couldn't save your hair, but most of the people who have used finas, minoxidil or nizoral have seen results. Perhaps those results weren't as good as they expected, but there WERE results. How can you say that it doesn't work? There are a loot of people who have been able to keep their hair on the big 3 for more than 10 years...
Yes, male pattern baldness is in the DNA, but what the **** do you think that means? Do you think there isn't a root cause for your hair going away? The cause is your hair's sensitivity to DHT, nothing more, and there IS a way of altering that. Your hair doesn't simply disappear for no reason. There are people out there studying and researching, trying to find a cure. Who are you to think that you know more than specialists, who have been studying and analyzing people's hair for sometimes even more than a decade? If today's treatments already work really well, how can you say that there is no way we can reverse or change that since it's all in people's DNA? Yes, when a cure finally comes out, it might require daily medication, but so what? All we care about is keeping our hair, nothing more.

You might be one of those stupid ****s who want everyone else to become just as ****ed up as you currently are just because you're angry and frustrated at what happened to you.

Modern science trumps DNA in many regards. Your argument is like saying someone who has cancer genes will die of cancer because it's in their genes. No relevance since modern medicine can treat most forms of cancer.

Sounds like you are the angry one my friends. This anger is clouding your judgment. There is no research. If you going off some proper research then link me! I doubt you will be able to. Until then, don't bother coming here and swearing your hair off :p I stand by what I have discovered, and that is that hair loss is unavoidable once it has locked on its target. Nothing trumps DNA, DNA can not and never will be alterable. It's just impossible. Accepting baldness is the only cure, and as I said the BEST cure because not only will it save your money and physical health, but also do wonders for your MENTAL health aswell. As you can see, P_AC1999 might have already been compromised in that department ;)

Not to mention, that if their is a cure, why would they release it?? There making plenty of money right now with you paying for products that do next to nothing. Your paying for things that don't give anywhere near permanent results, why would they let that go?? If you want to find a cure, then change your way of thinking. 'Cos in your current state, you wont find anything.

Dude, I'm sorry, but NOBODY in my family has male pattern baldness, what I'm afraid of is that my mature hairline gets too high as it is in all of my uncles (but not in none of my 40 year old cousins). Man just look at some threads on this site and you'll see how some of these products are working for so many people. We don't need to alter DNA to avoid your hair falling out. All we need to do is make our hair more resistant do DHT, and that might require, sometimes, daily medication for people. There is no cure out there YET, how can you expect me to send you a link? If there was no possibility for a cure, why would anyone bother spending millions and sometimes even billions on dollars to find it?
CANCER is in the DNA, and despite that we are able to cure many forms of it... Besides WHERE IS YOUR RESEARCH? Send me a link so I can see how it is soooo impossible as you're saying here. We don't care if we need to take cells from the back of our heads to fill the top and the temples, as I said all that trully matters is that we end up with hair on our heads. I have faith in Replicel, if you want a video to see what they are trying to do I'll be posting a link down below. Now WHERE IS YOUR LINK?

Another thing I'd like to mention is that the companies that are working on a cure AREN'T the same companies that already have hair loss products out there or that perform hair transplant surgeries. If they ever find a cure and put it out there, nobody will ever even care about hair transplant surgeries and and every hair loss sufferer will start buying their product instead of finasteride, minoxidil or nizoral, which means they will get much more money than these other companies, and why would they give a damn about how those are doing? Sorry, but there's something called CAPITALISM.

Just defending the truth I am. If you want to buy into lies go ahead haha. Doesn't affect me. Hair loss in currently not curable by any method. Plain and simple fact.If it was you would hear about it all over the news and stuff trust me. It's almost like a black market at the moment. Consumers losing out big time because of our ignorance. That's why I'm here :) Hold onto to your money folks, I'll tell you when we can cure hair loss.

http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/hair-loss/features/sweet-hair-after?page=3

webMd lists the current treatment options. None are listed as proven, all have specified side effects. Even surgery isn't a plausible option. Simple medical advice, stay away.

PREVENTION better than CURE.

CURE is very dificult or imposible......

Then is time to fix exactly the reason of common hairloss, and GENES are only a part of the problem.

Prevention yes, but at what cost? Not only money, but health! Also, you could use it for 10 years, $100K later. Then you stop using it and your bald as a bat. Things that users aren't told.

Also, it's so funny how everyone goes on about clinical trials and stuff, but the stats are never referenced. If something is referenced, don't trust it! I've NEVER read a hair loss article by "major" hair loss experts with referenced information.

- - - Updated - - -

"Genetic hair loss, on the other hand, is largely permanent, as is any type of hair loss triggered by scarring on the scalp, says Emmanuel."

"Many men shy away from taking finasteride, however, because of the possibility of sexual side effects, including loss of libido. And, more recently, studies have shown that those side effects may persist after discontinuation of the medicine."

taken from:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/11/08/hair-loss-baldness-cure_n_6101528.html

some easily accessible information for everyone. Hair loss treatment is a $3.9 Billion dollar a year business. With that money, you know there's gonna be more marketing and legal loopholes then scientific research and facts. Look at the pharmaceutical company that distributes finasteride, "Merck" and the many ways they sell non-working products.

- - - Updated - - -

"Hair loss treatment is a $3.5 billion industry — as big as the over-the-counter cold and flu market. “But about 99 percent of the treatments don’t work at all,” says Kobren."

Using finasteride, minoxidil, or both together for 10 years does not cost anywhere near $100K.

Here in Australia, proscar cut into four pieces comes out to ~$150/year.

Rogaine is overpriced here, ~$60/month for the foam.

Post was too long and I got bored. Anyone got the 3 sentence version?

Sure... OP believes that if you are balding, there is nothing at all you can do to stop it. "Accepting baldness is the only cure". Some people believe that their pills and ointments, which cost $10,000 per year, help: but they are wrong.
