How long does it generally take for male pattern baldness to make you go from a very thick full head of hair to a dramaticaly diffused thinned head of hair? ...Is one year too short?

You know the answer to this!

Everyone's different. I started losing my hair after one guy I know. He's basically in the same position now as he was then. I'm 10 times worse. It's genetics.

It all depends on how sensitive your follicles are to DHT and the other factors which cause male pattern baldness. You need to evaluate yourself. Though it seems to always take longer then you think it will. Also the hairs that fall out will grow back.. just thinner and smaller.

One year is a very short time to go from NW1 to NW3-4. I guess it is possible, but that would be an exceptionally aggressive male pattern baldness.

Im trying to figure this one out too. Been driving me nuts, if it helps in 2 years , my hairline has not changed. 21-23. Currently NW1/2 atm.

Also, see my thread on Michael Owen, his hairline hasn't changed much since 2004. 29 now, was 24 when he left Liverpool for Madrid.

Very difficult to predict.

P.S.

Make sure you monitor your hairline by taking photos of it overtime.

I've read the michael owen thread. Im gonna go to a dermatologist again in a week, im loosing my hair way too fast i think and my beard is also getting thinner too, along with my eyebrows. I really dont think it is male pattern baldness, but if it is i would rather know now while i can atleast try and do something against it.

My hair loss has only taken a year, with the most dramatic and noticeable effects only taking a month. Check out p2 on my story!
