Want to get a thread going to answer some basic questions about the role of testosterone levels and Hairloss.

I can correlate drops in testosterone and TSH increases with my Hairloss. With T between 700-850 no loss. Drop to 450-550 diffuse loss.
1. Does lower Testosterone contribute to Hairloss?
2. Is there a benefit in raiseing T levels to prevent Hairloss?
3. Do Testosterone supplements contribute to Hairloss? If not can they help? Tribulus T etc.?

Your testosterone is considered normal for your age group. From what I have learned your genetics dictate how sensitive your hair follicles will be to DHT. You have to understand your new loss is due to your thyroid and age. The only thing you can do is use minoxidil, synthroid, finasteride and copper peptides. I think the Laser Cap might be a good addition in your case too. I use mine 3 times per week.

Have you checked your DHEAS levels?
There are more important systemic markers than T and DHT in male pattern baldness, but the scientists
are more occupied with treating hair loss in mice than in humans;)IYKWIM

this is true. it's completely different for certain people and we really don't have any formula to tell. Finasteride raised my T and lowered my DHT to below the scale. Over one year, I lost more hair then ever in my life. literally 50% of my hair, gone.

That’s unfortunate @buckthorn. To be honest that’s a big reason I’m staying away from Finasteride as long as possible and may start with the topical first for that reason.

Hoping adjusting thyroid will have a positive impact.

My DHEA-s was 182 ug/dL range (34-569 ug/dL)(DOWN 100 from SEP 17) and correlated with significant shed in December/January.

The ‘normal’ ranges are so wide, wish there was a known optimal by age.

Any ideas on raising DHEA-s?

Thanks @DoctorHouse I am using all but the Finasteride and Copper Peptides.

Going to give the Synthriis a few months and reconsider topical Finasteride if I’m unhappy.

First I’ve heard of copper peptides. Any recommendation on source/dose? A spray might be a nice easy to maintain part of my regimen as I don’t have any topicals in play.

Saw a few on amazon but would pay up for the best application.

@bluecyclone My friend, don't try to trace the culprit of your hairloss with blood tests, you're wasting your money.
There's no systemic marker for male pattern baldness identified so far,not because there isn't,but because noone's searching for it.
Good luck with your thyroid though.

3 years on forums, hundreds hours of research, hair transplants, finasteride, RU, Seti, Minoxidil... and my conclusion? Not a single person knows a single thing about what ACTUALLY causes male pattern baldness. f***.
