Thinking to stop Rogaine after 5 months on my left side

I have been taking Rogaine for 5 months for front bald. I am thinking to stop taking it because I don't see any visible results, and even worse I defenitely lost really many hairs because of shedding process which wasn't just 3-4 weeks but months. Anyway I am not sure if it could take even more than 5 months for any results.

So I was thinking to continue using rogaine only on right front side for another 6 months. In this way I will defenitely see if there is any change.
Let's say hairs will eventually start growing on right side. Will I get hairs back on left side if I restart using Rogaine also on this side? What are your thoughts about this?

Have you seen a doctor? Have you been applying rogaine correctly?, twice a day, 1ml each time? Do you have new little hair?, I mean do you see little new hair growing? This little hair usually is noticed rapidly, in one or two months, and some of this new hair will grow thicker. I think you don't have to try on one side to compare, you should have new hair already growing.

Is your scalp normal?, are you sure don't have seborrheic dermatitis?, a normal scalp is needed for minoxidil to work. In most of the cases also finasteride is needed to maintain the regrowing hair and to lower the shedding.

It's proven that people who quit minoxidil suffer even more hair loss, because there's already a dependence.

Go to the dermatologist's... good luck
