Thinning at back of head under swirl

besides my receding temples i'm not in terrible shape but I feel like the area at the back of my head to the lower right of my swirl is very thin, scalp visible when wet (my hairs buzzed to a 2 well grown a little past that anyways). Is this male pattern baldness or something else?

I would say with 90% assurance that it's a part of male pattern baldness. Only thing that doesn't make me say it's 100% is that it's not uniform to your left side. But then again male pattern baldness is not uniform in the short-run.

well that will suck...I'm gonna end up with a bald spot directly on the back of my head...I thought the hairs there are supposed to be immune to DHT? Could it just be thin to begin with and I just need to live with that (As for it being on the left I think it works that way cause of the swirl)

getting "hat hair" can make it look like I have a bald line that moves down on the right (from looking at my head from behind) under the swirl. Think this is male pattern baldness guys?

well id say its time for you to start doing something about it you dont want to be bald there ..i felt i was getting thin in the same area so i started the big3 goodluck.
