Hello everyone

I recently been going gym and changed my whole diet plan went from eating everything and anything to just eating protein and abit of carbs for a whole 5 months... the past month i noticed my hair starting to become thin and seems like its really thining out... i defo feel like im losing hair and i can see the scalp under heavy dorect light.

Im at the stage where im completly depressed my dad still has good hair abit of hairline recession but he has thing hair. My mum has good hair all over so im sitting here wondering if i ever go bald or just thin.

I dont know where to start or what to do i want to start finasteride but will i end up losing more hair I'm not sure how this all works i just keep breaking down and crying.

Sorry for the emotional rant but i feel so alone right now.

My dier was mostly chicken and tiny bit of carbs i just about got my fat intake in for the day everyone has said ive lost alottt of weight recently. I have stoped my diet and started to eat the foods that i use to eat. I then went onto a diet where you dont eat for almost 12 hours then eat all your meals within a 8 hpur space. But like i said i didnt transition i just kind of done all this dieiting the next day etc plus i go gym and feel reallly tiered or i am allways feeling tiered and have to take a mid day nap.

Thinning is the same as balding, it's just semantics.

High protein diets for muscle building are a myth perpetuated by the supplement industry. There's no scientific evidence that eating 150+ grams of protein per day is better for muscle building than ~80 grams. Protein is a powerful growth signal (An excessive amount is bad when you're already a fully grown adult) and cancer is a disease of growth . By virtue of being a high protein diet, it will make it a low carb/low fat diet, unless you're eating far too much calories, so it can be quite unhealthy on top of being pointless.

The problems with protein go beyond gaining pounds. Davis cites a significant body of research that connects high-protein diets with a host of health conditions from diabetes to cancer. One culprit, according to his book, is amino acids, which make up proteins and have a stellar reputation for building muscle and bones, ligaments and hormones. But an abundance of acids cannot innocently float along in the blood stream. At best, you pee them out. At worst, he says, your body may buffer the acidity by pulling calcium from muscle and bone cells, a condition called acidosis. In place of calcium, fat gets deposited in cells, meaning sugar can’t enter the cells. From there, heightened sugar in the bloodstream increases the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Insulin resistance & type 2 diabetes are linked to balding.

You need to balance your protein, fats and carbs. Look into macro nutrients. You can go online and find a macro nutrient claculator to let you know how much you need to eat for what your goals are. Of course youre tired, you're eating less calories then you're burning and if you're not eating enough carbs then that's your fuel source to lift. Don't listen to what that guy said about portien. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. .8 -1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight is ideal.

This is my weigh ins for these months i had started my diet in june and i also didnt reach some of my calorie intakes for most the days while i lifted heavy weights. I have started eating healthy and taking suppliments aswell as eating loads of fruits something i never did.

I got a blood test it came back fine. However i seem to be very tiered all the time and need to take a nap.
