I've been using Scalp Med minoxidil formula for about 2 months and started using Rogaine Foam on the temples a week ago. I'm starting to see numerous vellus hairs popping up now on my temples. Now I just have to wait to see if they will turn into terminal hairs. I'm also using Nizoral and will be starting Finpecia this week.

Addict, how long were you using hairmuck before you noticed any difference? You are using a lot of stuff in your regieme though. Is nizoral every night a good thing or not?

Oh, I've only been on my regime for nearly 3 months, hairmuck for most of that time. Its true that I won't know what to associate my current success with (its definitely working so far) but I don't care. The goal is to grow hair and that is being met currently. I will experiment with removing treatments at a later date once things have stabilised and I'm well clear of the 30 month regrowth window of opportunity.

Ok mate, thats a fair comment. Are you adding the the hairmuck to the 15% Min? I'm going to add some seeds to my regieme I think. :)

No, I only put the hairmuck in the 5% minoxidil....I think thats fine that way.

I would not take SP internally due to its DHT systemic suppressing effects ..... only as a topical for me.

Thats all I am doing as well. I might try the Dr Lee 15% stuff then. It does say you can take the plus along with finasteride, although I'm not sure if there is much point? I've heard mixed reviews about the spironolactone?

Definitely use minoxidil and finasteride at the same time, its part of the so called 'big 3', the other being Nizoral. minoxidil is the best hair growth stimulator - finasteride is only a dht agent....

oh I see, Xandrox plus - no, not much point in using that if your on finasteride I would have thought.

Yeah, I see that. Edited my post....
If the big three doesn't do what you want, think about adding some other topical...eg nizoral cream for the temples, fluridil maybe, some copper peptides etc....

Propecia and Xandrox worked great for my temple region. Unfortunately, I had sides that I couldn't deal with and had to stop the Propecia. Using spironolactone now, not working nearly as well although I think its slowing things down a bit at least. Need to find something else though.
