Those who've experienced diffuse loss, do I have it?

I took a video of the top of my head today to get an idea of what's going on. I know I've been told that I maybe starting to experience diffuse loss, I just want an opinion on if it's true and how bad it is.

IMO i wouldn't cut it short. it will look very patchy and diffuse.

you are fortunate in regards to having good hair caliber density. helps mask the reality of your diffuse.

Keep the sides, and back tight and faded..

I was afraid that I was diffusing. Does it look like I've already diffused a lot? Why is best to keep the sides and back short? I thought I read before that you should keep your hair short and the same length if you're diffusing.

My hairline is receding as well, unfortunately. image.jpegimage.jpeg

You have a little diffusion but your hair still looks good, no average person would think you were balding.

Would you say that you shed basically the same on finasteride as you were pre-finasteride?

I can't really tell since I'm no expert like most of you guys lol but your hair definitely looks really good to me in those videos and images!

I wouldnt buzz it.

You will be hit with a hardcore reality check. Going to see lot's of diffuse patches, along with uneven hair growth because the DHT affected hair grows slower.

your diffuse is very noticible, but the plus side is you have good hair caliber density to give the illusion of decent hair.

It doesn't look that bad at all man, your hairline is intact. I have even less hair and my hairline has receded in the temples quite a bit and people still tell me I'm imagining things.
Vincent I don't think you have less hair than him unless you lost more since your last post.

Nyjrb, you have classic diffuse thinning but enough coverage now to give the illusion of a full head of hair.

Exactly.

it will look like **** if he buzz' it.

Im in the same position after ditching the wig. I initially thought I had great even density, but was hit hard myself with the true state of follicles. I have some diffuse patches in the back, not directly on the crown but to the side of it.

I won't buzz it, I'll try to get away the illusion for as long as I can. Then I'm not sure.
I know diffuse loss can be rapid, I really hope that's not the case for me. My brother diffused in about 5 years.
Is there a way to tell what norwood I'm diffusing to?

I have diffuse thinning all over but it is just enough per square inch to give the illusion of a full head of hair but it if I buzzed it, I know it would look horrible. Thank goodness, Erdogan is doing long hair FUE. I am going to wait until he perfects his procedure even more before I decide to let him do mine.

Probably going to be like your brother. What is his Norwood level?

My brother is a norwood 5 but looks to be heading to a 6. Do you think I may lose it in five years?

Most A patterns don't progress beyond a NW4A.

everyone gradually, and eventually diffuses over time.

Huge misconception of people with male pattern baldness thinking there loss will be very linear.

NO. The entire scalp slowly diffuses over time, forming a final pattern.
