Tight Braids & Trichotillomania

Is there a link between having tight braids and ponytails and Trichotillomania I'm sure I've heard this somewhere? Is it all braided hairstyles or just the tight hair styles?

Trichotillomania is the compulsion to pull the hair out, so it isn't caused by specific styles. Would you like to discuss the issue?
