Tips for applying Rogaine 2x day

I'm about to start Rogaine foam but I'm finding it difficult to apply it two times a day.

Let me explain: First application in the morning is easy: shower, apply foam, dry hair, apply toppik and product.

But by the time the evening comes around I have a head full of hair product and toppik, so I don't think applying the foam would be that effective, unless I wash my hair in the evening and re-apply after washing. So basically I would have to wash my hair 2x each day, which is a bit excessive. Anyone have any tips?

I use to get home from work and dunk my hair under the water tap. Any tap - bath, bathroom sink.

So no shampoo, just rinse hair under water for few seconds ready for second application of minoxidil just before getting into bed.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. Similar to you OP, I shower in the morning, towel dry, apply minoxidil, wait 15-20 minutes, blow dry (low setting), and wax+hair spray. Come night time, my hair is still waxed and firm due to the hair spray. Would I have to wash all that off and then apply minoxidil? Or is simply rinsing with water will do the job? Please someone shed a light into this situation. Thanks =)

I think the key here is to keep your hair short and well managed and consider 2 type of minoxidil if possible, If you consider foam for the morning after a quick hair wash, which can also double up a bit as hair moose to style and keep your hair styled and strong, and then liquid minoxidil for the night it makes it much easier to apply via the Dropper.

The Dropper can get in-between the hairs and skin much easier, the rest one can spread and massage the liquid on the scalp with your finger tips even. I use the Dropper to also rub it in-between the hairs and to get to the scalp rather then the finger tips, works the same way.

Using Foam at night would be tricky, since your hair will still be sticky and firm and will require a head under the tap approach but why wash your hair twice in the day and risk damaging hair follicles even further ?

The way some of the experts or long timers around here have simply gone grade 0 and clean shaven and then apply.... that would be naturally the best way ;)

Why would you sleep with hair products in your hair? Isn't that uncomfortable?
How I do it:

I don't use foam. I bought foam the first time and it's just a waste. I use the liquid. The applicator makes sure it gets right to the scalp.

I wash my head in the morning (I stick my head into the faucet). I dry my hair, and apply the minoxidil.
Later in the day, I do it again. I dunk my head into the sink and wash everything out. I then do the same.
Before I go to bed I take a shower washing it clean before bed.
