i don't have much body hair. Does this mean i won't be a good canidate for finast?? and what happen if i don't have dht that cause damage to my hair. this is just stressin me out on what to take....

another note i forgot to mention. i don't think baldness runs in my family. well my dad have a full head of hair and so does his dad. although couple of my uncles on my mom's side are bald. but thats just cause they are old. i dunno just confused if i do have the genes for male pattern baldness. anyone here have a similar situation as me?

Yes, my entire family practicaly (sans a couple of odd uncles) has a full head of hair.

You can inherit balding from your mother. If uncles on your mom's side are bald, then it's very likely you got it from her.

nope my grandpa on my moms side isn't bald. in fact he had a full head even in his 80's. That's why i'm so puzzled about this baldness of mine.

Technically this is an old wives tale. Amazing it's made it into a health class at a learning institution. If we knew this much about hair loss on the genetic level we'd have identified the cause and would be well on our way to blocking that gene.

Minoxidil and Finasteride should do the trick. Wouldn't try spironolactone, because it can have dangerous side effects for a man.
