I've also just started using topical cet a few days ago. I crushed 60x10mg tablets in 60ml of distilled water. I kept the solution in a dark place for 2 days but it's still just white and cloudy, when the pictures I've seen show sediment sitting on bottom and clearer water above it.

Anyway it hasn't helped with my scalp pain/itch which I was kinda hoping it would do already, I care more about that than actual hairloss it's so bad.

I'm no expert with topicals but I'm assuming there's a reason almost all of them use PG/ethanol as a vehicle - for absorption? Why would just distilled water work for this? I'm sceptical!

Umm, since I started using topical Cet, I've noticed the very beginnings of gyno. I noticed someone else in the thread had this earlier. How ****ing unlucky can I be - gyno from hayfever tablets!?

Yeah Dench that itch can be is insidious. My scalp(seb. derm)got so raging intense and inflamed, in the fore frontal region, that sometimes it would actually weep. Next to impossible not to vigorously scratch. Longer routine nizoral treatment sessions (@15minutes), more frequent rotations of shampoos, and more frequent hair washes along w/regular exfoliating of the scalp gently have helped, but this can also cut like a double edge sword and temporary compound problem. For me my hair loss followed the itch or in other words my itch was apparently a precursor to my male pattern baldness. At least this only was my experience.

My 30 ml cet mix with sterile water, Directly applying the sol using minoxidil 1ml dropper, i am not separating any fillers using coffee paper
as i am afraid the efficiency will be reduced if we take out too much
ingredient from the mix. Will apply 10 days and post results.
I am also taking propecia 0.5mg two times a week.
Will quit propecia if this works.

I've noticed that it really, really dries my hair out. After the water has dried in my hair, my hair is actually hard, like I can snap it in half. Cannot be healthy. Getting increased shedding and breakage which I assume is down to this.

I wonder if there's too much filler in my solution, it's cloudy when I think it should be clear.

Update guys...

Shedding is stable max 10 hairs coming out
I am also applying it on temples, as its receding heavily.
For new guys who want to test it apply only on temples
and hairline. More visibility will be there in results if new baby
hair grows.

Cetrizine is an antihistamine for allergy issues, some people take this drug lifetime and
no such side effects are reported. It is considered to be very safe and tested.
If applied topically there is no such chance of any sides.

Cetirizine is a safe drug but like many others taking it in higher than recommended dosages may expose you to side effects - that includes topical whereby an increased amount may cause it to be absorbed into the systemic circulation...just be careful thinking this is safe just because people are taking it daily for years (at recommended doses)

Hello guy's,

I would like to begin Cetirizine as topical on my temples too but i'm a bit lost about dosage.
Some peoples talks about 60*10mg pills in 60ml water. And some peoples talk about 6*10mg pills in 60ml water.

What's the right way please ?

cetirizine

I have used cetirizine and is working for me. i use it in much lower concentration than i have read others use it and it works only for stopping the shedding and for thickening the strands, at least in my case. I suspect that it works better for those that have thin hair (as in thin strands of hair). it didn't do much for itching but i noticed that there are 3 things that influence itching:

- watch for signs of Histamine Intolerance (i noticed that my scalp is much better if i avoid foods and drinks that have high histamine levels)
- if you worry excessively or any form of stress or depression (it makes my scalp burn and sting)
- and high hormone levels also makes my scalp itch (believe it or not sexual activity is a way of regulating the hormones, too much or too little makes your hormone levels rise) also i suspect propecia works kind of the same way, it works for some but for other like me it makes the hair thin and lifeless and it increases the itch.

Yo, guys.

I'm 23 and whilst my hairline hasn't receded that much, the frontal area of my scalp (mostly in my temples) has thinned quite considerably. However, there's still hair there, albeit thinned out **** stuff. I'm currently using minoxidil to try and thicken, but am far too afraid to use finasteride. Is there anyone here who has tried this and can tell me whether Cetirizine could slow my loss and help me maintain whilst minoxidil does its thing?

Also, will the thinned hair in the temples just fall out in the significant shed that is reported with CET?

Cheers.

Nobody uses it anymore given that OC and setipiprant are increasingly available. But OC gives me sides so I just started trialing it at 10 mg a day.

I will let you know how it goes.

Sparx444, you are wrong. Histamine has important role in protein absortion on the cell level. Too low levels of histamine ( anywhere in our system) can be very bad. it also controls bunch of processes in our body.. So, if your immune system doesnt produce extra histamine its better not to play with the stuff..
It can cause all kind of imbalance in our body.

I didn't say it will kill you hair, i think it sure can accelerate the balding... And we all need time..
I currently abuse diphenhydramine and it is the prime suspect of rapid thinning of normally thick hair. I am going to post a before after pic/discussion on my propossed resolve. I just started tonight so "after" pics arnt in, it will be a cliff hanger. I would do it now but this sight said I would be restricted for a bit to stop solicitation. I will also be posting on hair restoration network under "dawgrit"
