Topical minoxidil orally

I think I start trying this alongside dutasteride. That's because it is impossible to get minoxidil tablets in my country and if I order them online they'll be seized by customs and I get fined (already happened once when I ordered finasteride online before I got a prescription for it). I was thinking about 2 or 3 drops twice daily. Surely the "low-alcohol formula" minoxidil solution is safer and better for this use than the normal one? Has anyone been taking minoxidil this way and if so how were the results? Any side effects? Only thing I'm concerned about is the propylene glycol in the solution, but taking such small doses shouldn't have any adverse effects?

you need to apply minoxidil topically for best results. minoxidil orally will give you more unwanted side effects, so taking it orally is a bad idea, esp in a form that is not meant to be swallowed.
all around, its a bad stupid idea

I have been applying it topically to no avail and that's why I'd like to try it orally. Why do you think that for the best results it should be applied topically when everybody says that oral minoxidil is superior to topical one?

i've never heard of anyone saying oral is superior to topical, otherwise we would be all taking the pill if that were the case. topical is vastly superior in terms of safety and efficacy

other options:
derma rolling to increase minoxidil absorption (read up on this)
using a higher strength minoxidil 10% and up (some companies sell them online, or you need a presscription)
RU (anti-androgen)

all of these in combo with your finasteride/dutasteride might help

minoxidil 0,5 mg/day tablet oral is much more powerfull than the liquid (and works at all the head, not only in front, where the people normally put it), and that`s a low dose, it doesn`t have any side effects at all.....ask your doctor about........(a lot of people here in this forum who only write something, but know nothing ...they should not answer what they think..only what they know.....)

Do you mean 5mg/day? 0,5mg seems very low. And I can't get the tablets anywhere because oral minoxidil isn't even sold in Finland. That's the only reason I'm willing to consider using 4-6 drops of topical minoxidil daily. I heard that 6 drops equals about 9-10mg of minoxidil.

You're not going to get anything from 0.5mg oral minoxidil. The people who take oral minoxidil and actually get results are taking upwards of 5mg-10mg and are growing hair all over their body, as well as putting themselves at risk of far more serious cardiac side effects.

And OP, drinking liquid minoxidil is utterly retarded and probably toxic. If you're dead set on oral minoxidil, get the tablets (Loniten, Noxidil Forte) or don't bother.

Minoxidil is an antihypertensive agent (lowers blood pressure), so I don't think thats something you wanna take for months or years through the oral route, I would assume you might run into some problems lke rebound hypertension, but then again I have no knowledge about oral minoxidil.

Oral minoxidil is often used as a last resort for people experiencing high blood pressure...it should never be taken unless you are being monitored regularly by a doctor
