Topical spironolactone / minoxidil. How long until I can wash hair

Hey guys,

I am putting spironolactone and minoxidil on every night before bed. I was thinking about putting it on in the morning but I do not like the look it leaves when in the hair. I also have to rinse my hair every morning otherwise I dont feel awake. So I should not apply this stuff if my hair is wet as I am told it can enter your body.

So anyway is it ok to get up early. Leave the stuff on my hair for an hour and then wash it. Does this give it enough time for most of it to soak in or is it a waist of time?

spironolactone is metabolized instantly... So I would wait at least 15 minutes to make sure that all of it has completely dried....

As far as the minoxidil goes, it's best to wait at least 4 hours before washing, but if you wash after 1 hour, you'll get most of the benefits...

If you make two minoxidil applications a day, then you shouldn't have any problem getting optimal results.

The spironolactone is sweet stuff. It dried almost instantly (the 2%) and it is metabolized quickly too... I really like it.

I once read a post where Dr. Lee said that you could wash your hair 1 hour after applying spironolactone.

I wash my hair first then I dry my hair with a hair dryer and I apply the minoxidil then the spironolactone 5%.

bumping this, as i have the same concerns/questions today.

does anybody know if the responses above are truthful? i hate the way my hair looks (greasy, thinner) with the s5 cream in it. at night, i don't care, but in the morning, i'd like to apply it, wait a little bit, and then rinse before going out.
