Hey guys, this is the first I've heard of this, but I'm interested in checking it out. How often do you apply, what % do you buy, and where do you buy it from? Anybody have good results with it? Side effects? I'm using Rogaine and Nizoral, looking for another anti-androgren that doesn't have extreme side effects.

I apply it every night, leaving it in overnight.

I get mine from the gourmetstylewellness.com store.

No side effects here.

I got sides from topical spironolactone. It works reasonably well however. Just make sure it doesnt get systematically absorbed, because its a hardcore drug if it does.

What kind of sides? How did it get absorbed systematically? I'm guessing you're not still using.

Brainfog, ed, and gyno flares up. I definately could feel it, after applying it it was like this weird pressure on my head.

No I no longer use it, but I feel it was effective, just hard to tell cause I had to continuously stop using it. But when I first started and managed using a generous amount of the stuff, it definitely halted shedding, and I think it was starting to grow back slightly. And it might of only been working because of systemic absorption.

Mind you I was recovering from finasteride sides at the time, so I was probably more sensitive. I wouldn't touch the stuff now.

But if it works well for you with no sides that is great. Just make sure you don't get it in you. Wash your pillow cases etc...

I'm thinking it must have the lingering finasteride side effects surely? I remember a user on these boards stating that there was a test carried out where they covered over half of a group of peoples bodies with spironolactone and none of it was absorbed systemically.

Yeah Ive heard about that study...But even if I had lingering finasteride sides, I know for a fact the spironolactone would hit me really hard. I had to stop using it. Most people probably do not feel sides from it..But even if I have post finasteride symptom, it still implies its getting in my bloodstream. Really the sides with spironolactone were just too much to overlook for me. Although most use it with no issue, i have heard other people get sides aswell. Let us not forget the nature of spirolactolone, its a heavy drug that is also carcinogenic.

Yeah, all Im trying to point out that its surely not a drug u want to take lightly, even if in cream form.

Im pretty sure this is the stuff that transgendered people take to become women....So yeah...

Dont take spironolactone, get RU, the stuff works amazing. Just pop some into some rogaine, but you need a scale.

Its stronger than finasteride, but its topical with minimal systemic absorption. IMO there is no point in taking spironolactone.

Yeah it is. I'm interested in RU but I'd like to see photos from people who have had success with it first before trying it. It's possibly carcinogenic too though right....

well thats just my opinion. I have never heard anything about ru being carcinogenic, but if you are waiting for photos, I took some baselines and I will take some progress shots in a few weeks. I can see the hair growing in already just like it did with finasteride. It has almost been a week since I started treatment, and Im using a low dose! 15mg/day. Anyway yeah sounds extraordinary/BS but Ill post pics soon.

I would however recommend staying on spironolactone til u figure it out cause it definately works.

I'll be looking forward to seeing your photos then. I was also thinking about trying a low dose of 10/15mg. How much did your 5g cost btw?

I got it from Ontario Chem. I was told the minimum is 10g, but they sold me 5 g for $225, shipping included. I believe 10g is $425. My 5g will last me just over 8 months, and thats if I bump up to 20mg like I may do. SO 10 would last u twice that.

At such low doses it's quite affordable! I hope you have success with it then, so I can copy you haha.

Are there any known side effects for RU? Definitely looking forward to seeing your updates. I'm not particularly concerned with it being a carcinogen, as long as it leaves my sex drive and other hormone related things alone. Just want to make it another 5 years...then I'll feel more age appropriate for my condition.
