Trying Duprost (Cipla)

I'm soon 25 years old and I have been losing hair the last 4 or 5 years. My hairloss has been concentrated in the front, my crown is still very dense. On a Norwood scale, I'd say I'm about a Norwood 2A, very close to a 3.

9 days ago I started taking Duprost 0.5mg/day, no side effects and no shedding (so far). Maybe it is just wishful hallucinations, but it appears to be growing a few very fragile looking hairs in the front in an area where I haven't had any hair the last 2 or 3 years at least.

I'm currently not using any other medications against my hairloss, though I am considering getting minoxidil 5%, but I have decided to wait a few more weeks/months to see how effective Dutasteride is.

I'll try to keep you guys updated weekly.

Any questions/comments/suggestions are welcome.

I would add Nizoral 2% shampoo and use that 3 times a week, leaving it on the scalp for 5 minutes.

You need to give it a year to see how it goes before jumping on the minoxidil. I have been on dutasteride for the last 9 months with Nizoral 2%. I think you might see a big shed at about the 3 month mark like I did but fingers crossed it might not hit that hard but don't give up or jump on to another product just stick it out and give it a year, not a couple of months or even 6 months give it a whole year. good luck :!:

Oni, what is going on with united pharmacy - they've changed their prices for dutasteride.

Just how much did you get yours for? Why are their prices higher then what you said they were?

It doesnt work. When you add to cart, you get something else (Ginette (Generic Diane-35 ED) (28 Tablets).

i brought my dutasteride from anagen.net 180 tabs for $160 they came yesterday took about 10 days to arrive...
