The equipment that Kyocera is developing will be used to culture the cells in an automated and precise fashion. Autografting the hair germs will still be done by a clinician in a similar fashion to a hair transplant.

Cotsarelis said implanting germ cells in scalp to grow new follicles would be excellent, and that they will surely be able to do it but it's a technology they will develop in the longer term.

I'm curious what the aftercare process would be. Would it be similar to FUE/FUT? Would there be any medications required before or after surgery, or any restricted activities, such as no sports, sleeping upright, avoiding sunlight etc. Thank you!
