1007 :)

I'm a bit sore, though only the donor area really.

Interestingly even though I was *extremely* nervous about removing the donor strip, it's the planting process that's the hardest. The worst part is having sitting still for hours and not really being comfortable because the back of your head starts to ache. Also the little "snikt" sound as the cuts are made to plant the hair roots is a bit unpleasant.

All in all though, the process is more boring than painful, and I was *very* impressed by how easy it all is.

1000 grafts via strip, thats old school unethical if you ask me, a strip should not be taken for less than 1500 at least!

I have updated my "mini diary", some photographs there of the transplant (Click on the link in my sig).

Forgive the manky hair; it's still matted with some icky goo from the procedure. Roll on my first shampoo in a few days!

Originally I had planned 1500 grafts, but due to the small size of the area to be covered and also to the fact that I'm still getting a strong re-growth from the finasteride and hormone regimen we decided on just going for 1000 for now with the possibility of increasing density with FUE later in the year.

(I'm a firm believer that when it comes to sticking blades into my head, doing the least required is ample!)
