University doctor said he won't prescribe Finasteride.

due to blah blah (I remember he mentioned that it can cause Cancer too and I was like wtf?) reasons even though I told him I've been taking finpecia since January.
Now the only reason I went to him was because I don't have insurance!!!! Now should I find a local doctor? I don't mind paying a local doctor a regular visit if he prescribes me finasteride from walmart because that would still save me loaddsssss. I don't want to pay doctor visiting fee if he's not going to prescribe, so what should i do?

How old are you ?

Unless you at least 30 which I'm guessing your not, it's hard for a Dr to justify prescribing Proscar


I would call around and ask before you pay for the visit.

You're probably gonna have to get a doctor.

I'm only 25, but here in Canada I've had no problems getting a script for proscar. I don't even have a family doctor, I just go to walk in clinics. Never had a problem.

sh*t's covered too. $3 a month. Hell yeah.

That is really f*ucked up. When I was at college, my doctor prescribed me 5 mg Proscar without me asking... And she give me 3 month script and a pill splitter.

I went to a Doctor that specializes in hair transplants/male pattern baldness and he told me he didnt care, he wold prescribe propecia or proscar, whatever i wanted. i went with propecia thought because i wanted to start at .5 mg
