Updating My Story (duta, finasteride, minoxidil, Etc. - 4 Years)

Long time member here. Haven’t been on in like 6 months. If you’re looking for another inspiring amazing results story you’ve come to the wrong place. I’ll try to keep it short.

At 20, temple recession started, slight thinning at forelock area - so started 1mg finasteride and topical minoxidil daily. Continued for 2.5 years. Continued loss, diffuse thinning hairline wrecked. Sex drive seemed to decrease slightly over time.

3 year mark (23) - started dutasteride .5mg EOD, quit fina. Sex drive increased/strong erections. After 2.5 months on it I quit because I thought I was getting ED and low sex drive after failing to get it up while drunk with a girl (thinking back was probs all mental)

3.5 year mark (24) -4.5 months ago. Was back on finasteride the first 1.5 months as well as taking dutasteride .5mg every day. Taking oral minoxidil at 1mg daily. Now just on dutasteride every day with oral minoxidil (past 3 months). My hair loss continues to get worse. Sex life and erection quality is very good. Has had no impact on my physique or lifting either.

I have taken a lot of stuff for hair loss, but nothing seems to work for me. The duta is prescribed from my Doctor and I get it from Walgreens. If you have any questions on anything lemme know.

If you want more detail on anything just ask. I could write a novel on everything I’ve tried and my reactions but don’t want to make it too long.

In short nothings worked to slow my hair loss.

Nothing seems to work for me either. So are you noticing more shedding on duta than when you were just taking finasteride??

I would say my hair loss has accelerated since adding duta. But it’s my only hope at this point so just gonna ride it out another 6 months and see.

Nothing much. No sides but continued loss. 5 months in I went through a massive shed that never grew back.

I would like to see pics as well. Also the people who seem to get the least results tend to not have strong stomachs for the treatments (such as quitting due to have an episode of ED when drunk).

I’ve posted pics in the past. Not posting more now unless I see success. And I’ve quit once over 4 years for a period of a month (and dutasteride half life is 5 weeks so it was still in my system)...so not sure if that was a great point there.

Don't know what you want from us if you cannot just simply post a couple of pictures. We are trying to help but it is VERY rare that someone on Duasteride and oral Minoxidil for a few months would still have worsening hair. We usually see more BDD here than treatments failing.

I’ll post picture differences from now and when starting finasteride. Isn’t a huge difference since starting duta. I’ve lost around 90% of my hair since starting treatments.

And I don’t want anything from you lmao. What are you going to do?

Yes that’s how hair loss works....I had almost no hair loss when starting treatments just some temple recession that no one else even noticed. I have severe diffuse thinning now.
