Usually thick hair stands up more (hence more volume) and thinner hair lays flat, sounds like your hair is even thicker now than it was when you were in your teens which seems very strange, lol. You have no hair loss so nothing to worry about, go enjoy your life with a full head of hair, son.

If that is indeed your natural hair density and characteristics then it should appear that way anywhere you part your hair. try to part the back and sides and in the same lighting take some pictures. If your parts are tighter than the pictures taken from the crown you are thinning.

well i will first give you a picture so you understand what the hairstylist meant with my hair rising up at the bald looking spot.

And then i give a second pic where i part the hair from the "bald spot" of the crown down to my neck and get kinda a similar pattern, even thou i think i have always had way more hair density on the back of my head for all my life.

And then i give a third pic where i part the hair from the "bald spot" of the crown to the sides of my head and get a similara pattern also.

What do you think?

oh lord, are you sure? can that be caused by depression and stress? i moved from home half a year ago and have been depressed alot since and had panic attacks often and a lot of anxiety and emotional stress.

From the looks of it, youre looking a little diffuse. Only you would be able to realize a change, maybe ur hair was always this way, take pictures and keep track but most likely its not Telogen Effluvium

Yea, you never did say if your hair was shedding. Is it shedding or did you just happen to realize one day that your hair was thin? Good way to find out if you do have Telogen Effluvium is to do a hair pull test throughout the scalp.

Not really, i have looked now in the shower and found like 100 hairs in the drain, but i have never cleaned the drain in half a year, i found some hairs on my shoulder thou, but i have been using this shirt for 4 days. None on my pillow thou.

well okay thanks for your input, but i dont think i am thinning on the temples they have always been like that, my hair is super blonde there and thinn. when i look at pictures of Telogen Effluvium i think it looks like i have that, and it would not suprise me a bit considering how much emotional stress i have been having the last year.

by your age i had multiple hair transplants done by a butcher. you are way better off than i was. i'm not a doctor so i can't even tell if you are losing your hair. how does it it compare to when you were younger? i was born with a receded hairline.

well i think it is thinner, will a doctor be able to tell if my hair follicles are dying or resting?
