using proscar every other day ?

do you think is effective as Proscar has 5mg of finasteride and propecia has 1mg finasteride ?

so instead of using 1mg propecia use 5mg proscar 4 time a week ?

A waste of money, IMO. The only advantage to using a higher dose is you get from point A to point B sooner. The clinical data I have seen showed 5 mg of finasteride achieved maximum hair count in 6 months, while 1 mg took 1 year to get to the same point. You are better off sticking with 1 mg or less, its cheaper, may be a bit easier on side effects, and ultimately just as effective.
