tried weekly 1mm sessions instead of mild daily and no more gains. going back to mild daily ones where i know i had s7cc3ss. I think the more we experiment and document the closer we will get to the answer!

daily 1 mm ? isn't too much ? the scalps won't get enough time to heal As far as i know??

He was already an excellent responder to finasteride, minoxidil was just the icing on the cake.
I totally agree. Alex was simply a super responder, and because of his timing, it is imposible to discern if it was finasteride, minoxidil, or needling. But because of his history, to me it's highly likely that finasteride was his main weapon.

The reason I think daily needling is better than weekly sessions is because of the emerging evidence seen in some users here, not because of Alex. There are like three instances (including myself) in which weekly needling did nothing for months, and suddenly results start popping up when daily needling is implemented.
Of course, the sampling is still too low to make a solid and general conclusion, which highlights the importance of more people doing this experiment.
We also need to know, given that we respond to this, what is the behavior of needling induced gains in the long term. We have absolutely no clue about this aspect.

Would you please elaborate more on your story!?

When did you start needling? For how long did you needle using the everyday regime? For how long did you do the weekly regime?

Thanks

Its been one week since I added minoxidil and dermarolling. I thought the regaine would be a pain to apply but its been fine thus far.

I might start a "my journey" thread with my baseline pics as I plan to do monthly updates.

Thoughts?

Those who want to give everyday needling a try please read this:

1. AlexSomebody actually uses a 1.5mm dermaroller and rolls only the weight of dermaroller itself. I personally apply just a tiny bit of pressure and extra speed to get that extra soreness.

2. DO NOT BUY 0.5mm dermaroller. It is a f*****g waste of money.

3. If you do not want to use 1.5 mm because you are worried that you may not get the right penetration for daily frequency or eod frequency then using a 1mm is your best bet. You can apply full pressure on that.

Try it on your worst possible scalp area with maximum hair loss to find out it's potential, or you will be f*****g confused forever if higher frequency works for you or not.

Full 1mm daily? in what planet can that constant inflamation be healthy long term?

I don't know if you've seen it, but this is some guy's result from reddit. Whole thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/tressless/comments/cjcer4/been_on_finmindermaroller_since_january_just/View attachment 125326
Another insane finasteride responder, similar to Alex. All those results always have finasteride/dutasteride on the mix, which is why deluded people thinking only rolling can do that need to wake up.

Im not salling rolling is completely useless, it's most likely just an icing on the cake.

OH, yeah I know Alex's story and regime very well. What I'm asking for is the numerous reports.of people rolling everyday and getting no improvements. I read Alex thread but I don't recall many people following the daily needling approach.

I did. I started with 1.5mm daily. It wasn't very successful. Some thickening but that's it. I also started minoxidil at the same time.

After a couple of months, I started rolling once every 7-10 days. But I took time and I rolled with a lot of pressure. The results were kind of worse. A lot of shedding and my hair did not look the best.

Now I'm back to mildly dermarolling every day with 1.5mm and my hair is coming back a little bit. I don't have pics, that's just in my memory.

What I will do in the next months is 2mm dermapen once every 10 days and 0.75mm daily.

Well if you read the thread then you saw the folks that tried to replicate his process. If it had worked it would have spread like wildfire through here. It did not. Instead everyone just assumed he was an anomaly. I think we have proven that there is some benefit for sure, but he was absolutely the exception, not the rule.

i know it sounds ridiculous. Think there was a couple of good responders (Chen being one of them) who had success. Im not sure if it was the wounding or the better absorbsion of the minoxidil which was kickstarting the growth. I will try and post more pictures. I am considering a weeks break every month(from rolling) to see if that has any effect. I feel that the milder the pressurethe less healing time required but its all guesswork still. Been balding 20 years and in 3 months of using this method i saw real results

Been losing hair for 20 years and ueed minoxidil on /off for 10 years. hadnt used it in about 5 yeard until April when I started 1mm rolling (only for a minute or so where there is slight reddening then apply minoxidil straight after) every evening. Didnt see anything until about 2 months then noticed shine on my head was disappearing. Existing hairs were thickening. I dont think new hair grows i think old ones you can no longer see are still there and some came back. The hair around my crown was the last too thin when balding and it seemed ti be the first coning back; like a reversal if the process. Amyhow i switched 2.5 months in to weekly method of rolling heavily once a week and applying minoxidil 24 hours after and although i barely give it 2 months havent seen more gains so ive switctched back to daily 1mm. Will post some pics shortly. Ive documented pics before on the thread.

Guys, im back on the derma rolling scene.
On Tuesday 6th August i started using a derma pen. 0.5mm at night then minoxidle straight after.
my regime will be:
0.5mm derma pen at night followed by minoxidil.
2x minoxidil (day and night)

let me know what you think and if i should change it up ?

Everybody in here trying to figure out ways to regrow hair and letting the community knows but that SOMEBODY guy is trying to make money out of it. Trying to get people get consultation and watch his YouTube videos.

I don't think his pictures are scammy, he has tons of pictures. He is just a massive finateride responder, boosted by minoxidil+dermarolling. Deluded mongs will think he has some sort of secret knowledge. He has some useful posts but I wouldn't pay for it. I asked him to get a f*****g bloodwork to get some scientific data going and he never took it.

Somebody guy didn't even have that much hair loss lol. He was a Norwood 2 (and still is a Norwood 2) with slight diffuse thinning. The only pics he has that show any thinning are pics of him with shorter hair with the flash burst into his follicles.

This is a piss take right? He had pretty advanced hairloss for his age.

His recover was ridiculous.

You can't get this kind of results without being a crazy finasteride/dutasteride responder.
