I'm pretty anxious to see how this turns out for you. I don't think I've seen any pics of your hairline, but If I remeber right your somewhere in between a nw2.5 and 3 (?) which is ppretty much the same as I. I've been wondering if a hair transplant for the hairline would be a good idea for me despite having a good start on finasteride.

If you are that bothered by it then chances are a transplant will serve your needs better. A hair piece would be a better option for someone like me who is an nw6 and not taking meds. I would be afraid to get an hair transplant in my condition because I have a lot of area to cover with only limited donor, which means even in the hands of the best surgeon I would still wind up with see through hair and a scar. Am I wrong about this? Which do you think is better? Considering both respond to the meds- an nw2 who has to get multiple hair transplants as his balding progresses over the years (like playing catch up) or an Norwood 6 who goes in for let's say two mega sessions and one touch up session with less future loss to worry about? Which has the better chance of success?
person said:ps. I will use body shop pictomine olamine (or however you spell it), nizoral shampoo and vitamins to keep my horseshoe hair shiney and strong.

I don't think vitamins will help you.
Nizoral is good.
So is prioctone olamine shampoo (T-Gel Greasy or BodyShop Ginger)
I also suggest putting 2-10 drops of Lavender essential oil in your off day shampoo, or maybe your BodyShop Ginger shampoo. I use bodyshop because it costs less, a lot less, and is easy to get. I think the piroctone olamine study was done with the T-Gel Greasy though.
uncomfortable man said:My donor is insufficient to provide enough coverage. If I really wanted to go the hair transplant route, I would have to get work form two doctors. Feller or Wong for the strip and whats his name for bht. Both doctors would have to work with each other to integrate the head hairs and body hairs so they blend....oh who am I kidding. This will never happen.
Is that like a weave? If so it sounds pretty tedious and I can imagine you would need professional maintenance for that I am assuming, which would get costly. Not to mention the stress it would put on the newly transplanted hairs. I don't know what to do really, but I appreciate the suggestion. I heard they make great systems though.person said:uncomfortable man said:My donor is insufficient to provide enough coverage. If I were you uncomfortable man I would go to feller, use all your donor hair to become a very diffuse Norwood 1 then go to JA Alternatives and use their 'interlink' technique, they turn one hair in to four hairs in a nutshell, this really is a relaistic option for you, I would go this route but I am tediously slowing balding so it isn't an option for me. And lol to CCS's laser hair removal voyages. Has he not heard of Veet for men body removal cream?
