ever since my hairloss started ive noticed something very wierd, on like 1/5 of the hairs that fall out,the hair shaft itself on the haair goes from thin to thick to thin to thick and this happens normally near the root.Here is a picture depicting what im seeing.Anyone know what this is or experience the same.I think it maybe some condition called pilli torti but im not sure

Yes I get those, as well as a bunch of other weird hair issues: kinked hairs growing in a zig-zag pattern (like someone used a crimping iron on them), hairs that go from colored to translucent and sometimes even back to colored in the same strand, finding hardened sebum plugs with multiple hairs growing out of it, miniaturized hairs growing longer than non miniaturized hairs, etc.
I have no clue why any of this happens, other than it's just the result of the of damage from androgens/DHT. There really isn't much clear info on hair shaft disorders out there.
BTW, do you experience burning, itching, pain on your scalp? Are you taking anything (AA's, mnox, etc) for your hair loss?

Nope I am not taking any treatments as I have weird thinning on sides and top more correlated with non male pattern baldness hair loss and nope I am not experiencing any burning or anything just extremely greasy hair and I also ain't experiencing any of the other weird hair shaft abnormalities just the thin thick thin one. I've done some research and it seems that this condition suddenly turns up out of the blue and also disappears after a while
