Wait 2-8 Years To See If Miniaturized Hair Goes Terminal??

Forgive my ignorance, but from what I can gather, there is Some chance that miniaturized hairs can go terminal with massage, headstands, brushing etc etc.

But I also read that if this happens, it can't happen mid-cycle, you have to wait for the hair to start a new cycle to see if the new hair comes through thicker than the old.

Does that mean I have to wait 2-8 years for the miniaturized hairs to fall to see if all my efforts have worked?

Miniaturized hairs do not have a 2-8 years anagen phase. Otherwise they would be normal hairs and would grow inches and inches.
Miniaturized hairs fall in a few weeks without growing.

Miniature = very small.

Are you sure about this? The thing is, I have a large patch on my head where the hairs have all for some reason minaturized, but I CAN grow these hairs out. I first noticed the miniaturized area when my hair was about 4 inches long. I could see my scalp in that area but the hairs were as long as my dark terminal hairs.

I thought miniaturized hair = diameter reduced, but otherwise grows normally.

I thought vellus hairs are the ones that don't grow.
