want to try topical finasteride, great results from oral finasteride

Hello guys, Im on finasteride for almost 1 year. I have been experiencing minor sides from finasteride like watery semen and loss of libido. Nothing that I couldnt live with but its just not the same. Its harder to ejaculate too, but never experienced ED.
Btw I had great results with finasteride and minoxidil, see in this topic: http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interac...ide-minoxidil-pics-but-time-to-give-them-up-(

So it would be very hard to give up the good results so Im looking for options to maintain. Im thinking about crushing finasteride tablets into liquid minoxidil. Any experience that it can work?
I know that it can go systematic, but my sides are not that serious and if it can reduce the chances i gladly take my time to apply it topically.

I would also you ceterizide I read about that it can maintain too. I tried RU in the past so pls dont suggest me that, it gave me crazy heartbeat. And i know there is no solution for CB.

So I would be very happy if someone could clarify me if this is a viable way to maintain what i have now and thanks for your help guys. I look forward to your answers!

About topical Finasteride, I do not recommend doing that. There's no scientific evidence that it help's to treat Androgenetic Alopecia in that form and will also be dangerous to go near pregnant women with Finasteride on your head.

I am unsure about the other treatments since I've currently never used them.

taking finasteride topically works but its essentially the same as taking It orally, enough goes systemic to have the same effect

its a good idea to avoid some sides. many people use that in forum , you can order some promox or polaris which has minoxidil 15 % and also finasteride.

i'm not sure if it'll help you avoid side effects or not but the thing definitely works. It started regrowing hair on my temples. There is scientific evidence that is inhibits more scalp DHT than oral finasteride. I also take oral finasteride but i saw regrowth only after using topical finasteride. Do give it a try and see if it helps :)

But u say you are taking oral finasteride too, so how do you know that the topical is really working
And how many times a day you apply it?

And what If i combine topical finasteride and creatine? There were studies showing creatine increases DHT so it can decrease the chances of getting sides while i still lower the the scalp DHT using topical finasteride. Anybody thought of this??

Just asking does the topical finasteride effect is primarily focused to fight DHT at scalp at first only.I mean will it COMPLETELY SHUT THE 5ar/DHT or most of it??The thing about oral finasteride is it goes systemic and spreads all over the body which isn't so sufficient.I ask that does topical finasteride functions TO BE LOCAL SO NO DHT IS FORMED AT ALL.I don't care about the systemic absorption if this can kill all the DHT in the follicle then im good.

check, here they say topical finasteride lowers the dht more in the scalp than oral finasteride. It says the serum level is about the same. Now for example i take creating which increases the blood DHT level but i eleminate more in the scalp then Im still in a better position compared to just oral finasteride. What do you guys think?

and check this: zinc and creatine to increase serum dht http://www.peaktestosterone.com/How_Increase_DHT.aspx

NO. However, it is claimed by some swedish scientists that when used with a substance called Hydroxypropyl Chitosan twice daily, it will lower scalp dht significantly more than when used orally.

i don't know what happens if you take creatine. I've heard it increases DHT but i just cannot answer the question and you better ask it with a bodybuilder or someone who knows about it very well. I apply it only at night as its too greasy and takes a long time to dry. In the morning i use a different minoxidil brand. I took oral finasteride and didn't see much of a result. After using topical finasteride my hair started getting thicker and also i saw frontal regrowth which is highly unlikely with oral finasteride. The best way to judge it would be to try yourselves and what i believe is that topical finasteride should be taken along with oral finasteride to see maximum results. Wish you luck.

hi Shreyaskini, Thanks to your post i also started using INTAS minoxidil + finasteride combo topical. its too early to update on results but its looking promising.

i was checking your regime and noticed you are using : Minoxidil 5%+0.1% finasteride+Aminexil 1.5% 2times a day. does Aminexil help ?

if so what brand are you using?

thanks
