WARNING: Under no circumstances should you BITE/CHEW an AVODART

Today I for some reason decided to bite down on an Avodart capsule. This currently stands as my biggest regret of 2015. It is the FOULEST taste I have known in my entire life, it's like strainings from the devil's jockstrap and it sticks to your tongue and throat. Horrific. You are warned.

What did you do that for? It even specifically states a warning by the manufacturer to swallow the capsule whole and to not chew or crush.

Oh well, lessoned learned. I suggest to not do that again, unless you want to experience the foul taste again.

I did this once with finasteride accidentally, it was a bitter pill to swallow :uglylol:

I don't really know why I did it. I think I was wondering whether it was liquid or powder inside. I bit into it and realised immediately that I'd made a mistake but I just froze in this awkward position with my jaw tilted up and to the side, trying not to let any more liquid leak out. Then about 10 seconds passed, after which I got the full taste and it went from unpleasant to a state of panic. Urgh. I can taste it again now just thinking about it.

Well I've tried it too but it was because I thought my dutasteride was fake and suspected there was nothing in the capsule. Idk how you managed to chew it and cut it because I struggled a lot and finally cut the thing with scissors. Anyways lucky for me I didn't get the whole liquid in my mouth. It just spilled out on my fingers so I just licked it slightly but damn was the taste horrible. And yeah the taste does stay on your tongue for quite a few minutes.

Are propecia pills evenly distributed where if you cut them into pieces each one has equal dose and is absorbed the same way as if you never cut it?

I get that too sometimes, if I haven't eaten anything before I take the capsule.
