Despite Krazyguy lacking credibility, I think his story is plausible.

I used to know a bald kid as well. I'm not sure what sort of alopecia he had, but he was proper bald, like Collina. He wasn't academically bright, but he got a proper job and got married soon after... So, life wasn't treating him that badly.

damn, I knew a 19 year old NW6 but he looked nowhere near as bad as that kid looks in the photo. The NW6 I knew just bicced his head often and it looked alright, tbh.

Perhaps that dude should consider the shaved look. And get rid of that f*****g awful "Tom Green" rapist-beard.

Anyone who's fully bald at 15 quite clearly has Alopecia Areata/ Alopecia Totalis. It's an auto-immune disease where the body rejects the hair. In Alopecia Areata, there are usually some small pacthes at the beggining and then basically over-night it completely falls out.

There is a kid in the school I used to go to that had Alopecia Areata. He was basically fully bald, but there about 500 white flimsy hairs on his head. I honestly found it hard to take when I saw him. He always seemed to be smiling though. I guess he might have accepted it. But when you think that he had a full head of hair that same year it must have been exceptionally hard to accept. Especially when teenagers these days base their perception of people on their looks. Poor kid, but thats life.

This thread saddens me. I feel so bad for that kid. It may not even get to him that much, but people are so ruthless. :(

Poor kid. If it helps anyone, I know a girl who has alopecia areata. I've known her since she was about 19, but she had it since her mid-teens.

Her hair is essentially like a peach-fuzz, really. There's stuff there, but not much and in very thin quality.

She actually uses concealer, and a lot of people assume she's just shaved it; plenty of people think she's simply a lesbian or some hippy weirdo. It doesn't actually look that bad, lucky her.

That sucks pretty bad. Must be bad genetics no environment could make some one so young bald that quick. I feel sorry for him. If early hairloss isnt bad enough he gets abuse over too. How cruel.

i think this is a case of being strange looking rather than balding. Thats where the abuse is coming from.

Its not that rare. Ive seen a few nw5s around 19-20yr old around uni.

You've heard the saying 'children are cruel' I think most of the bad posts on there are from young kids, hence the cruelty.
