It seems to lower it for everyone who uses it and experiences side effects, since they get the side effects of decreased testosterone.
I was under the impression that was part of the process, as it prevents conversion of testosterone into dht, it also lowers it thus at the same time raising your Estrogen level.
Sadly viper, Although essentially you may be right, there is a whole world out there that disagrees. It isn't just social life anymore that becomes effected by hairloss, what job you may get or may be turned down for. Cosmetic worth has crept into every aspect of everyday life at varying degrees.
So For most people especially younger people it matters a great deal, specially when it comes to encounters with the opposite sex, some argue that if a women wouldn't give you the time of day because of something superficial like hair then why bother with her anyway, This much is true, however most don't care once they have their hair back and sometimes become superficial over time themselves. But most guys never find out if that girl cares about hairloss or not, because they lose the confidence to start a conversation, the encounter never happens and theres no way of telling where it would have gone.
So hairloss does matter, Because everyone thinks it matters, whatever the cause the effect is the same.
