Weird Sandy Feeling On My Scalp And Whole Head?

So for a while now my hair has been thinning / falling out. It's still fairly un noticeable but my scalp feels like it has sand in it. When i rub at the sandy areas hair breaks and falls so I avoid doing it. I also have to wash my hair daily or the hair fall seems more significant? Is this normal with male pattern baldness and has anyone else had a similar experience with their hair loss? I have mild temple recession and general thinning on the whole head including back (nape particularly) and sides.

Have you tried Nizoral? Many people report that used a couple times a week it can help reduce inflammation or other unwanted scalp sensations.

I've been using nizoral for over a year but nothing seems to stop the sandy feeling. I've also tried mixing tea tree oil with regular SLS free shampoos for a more natural approach it helps the day of washing but then the next day the scalp feels worse and the shedding intensifies. I used minoxidil and that did nothing for the shedding though I got paranoid it was making things worse so I stopped (after 6 months + of usage). Does male pattern baldness make the lower hairs at the back of the head/kneck (nape) fall out normally? To make matters worse I don't have access to healthcare at present due to my current Visa situation, where would be the best place to get some definitive answers (I'm willing to pay out of pocket of course).

Could be dandruff or feeling hair sprout from the follicles (initial). I had a sensation where I rubbed my scalp and felt more roughness and later on it turned prickly like when hair grows on your face. Never could see anything in the mirror but now I can actually touch the hair growing out.

it's definitely something like dried sebum. Just started using Ketoconazole shampoo, hope it's going to work.
