Turning 50 yrs old in August. Have a norwood 6 pattern that is stabilized in the last 14 years. My sides are high and my donor area is thick. I'm meeting with Dr. Jones in Toronto in August to discuss my first treatment. I am thinking about getting him to do the initial treatment to create a good hairline and then I will consider a reputable doctor in Turkey next year or the year after to fill in the crown.

I've been holding out for a treatment to come along like Follica to see if I could get a reversal of a norwood or two but seems like nothing good will be in the offerings until at least 2019.

Aiming for the first treatment in December of this year.

Good luck to you. I agree not worth waiting for treatments, best scenario is like 2018 more like 2020.

Don't bother seeing Jones. Heard bad things and it's silly to see a mediocre surgeon when you have some of the best in the world (Rahal and Hasson + Wong) in Canada.

I concur. 2017 is pretty much shot now and we're looking at only ~2 more years until 2020. But I'm still going to research a transplant and have everything in place in case regeneration doesn't materialize by '20.

Most reliable sources are saying somewhere around summer 2022, 5 years or so for reliable treatments.
