What about HairMax LaserComb?

I think that the reason no one here has interest in that, is that we didn't see any serious research about it. I didn't see the only paper (from the company that sells it) about it, but people said it doesn't look serious.

It's FDA approved as a medical device for the regrowth of terminal hairs on the scalp - an average of 19 per cm2.

Do you have a link to the paper that show these results? why there is so much "mist" around the proof to these claims? please no offence, I'm just curious.

How the hell could lazers stop DHT building up? It may make it look thicker but you can do that for alot cheaper.

Also some confusion, I dont' live in the USA but I'd like to point out something many seem to overlook when discussing this product.

The FDA just determins something is safe, I thought the FTC was in charge of consumer protection, so if it was a scam, it's the FTCs job to stop it, not the FDA.

The FDA won't let manufacturers make spurious claims about treatments, whether they are drugs (like Propecia), or appliances like the LaserComb. The manufacturer is required to agree the "indications" for their drug/device with the FDA before they claim approval, and must back these indications up with properly conducted studies showing beneficial effects.

At least... this is what I understand anyway :)
