What are my options?

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum, so hopefully I am posting in the right place...

OK, I would like some advice;

I am 28 and have a very high and wide forehead (think Aaron Paul, but more bumpy!), and I have always worn a fringe to cover it up. However, I noticed that my temples are receding, so I got my haircut without a fringe.

Didn't like the results at all! All you can see is forehead :shock:

It has really started to eat at my self confidence, as I know as my hair receeds, my forehead will take on even more epic proportions!

My dad Norwood 2 at the age of 62, though one of my uncles was a Norwood 3 by age 50 (the other is a Norwood 2 age 60).

So, options;

Could I get a FUE to lower my hairline? I have looked into this and I know I would probably need to get more done in the future though.

Should I just wear a fringe as long as I can and hope for the cure to baldness? I think I have at least another 10 years left!

Should I just get used to the fact I have a tefal head??

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Just at the temples, one side more so than the other. It looks like it will take me into a Norwood 2. (which is where my dad is still at!)

Not on any treatment at the moment.

Really thick.

It is really thick everywhere apart from the temples.

I would like to know if I can avoid being just a massive forehead in the future though...

Okay buddy I have good new and bad new.

Here comes the good news: There was a guy here that went from a nw5 to a nw2 with a hair transplant even when most hair transplant doctors told him that he had one of the worst case of hairloss they saw in a male his age(22). He went to a good surgeon and he was able to do the job. So it would be childs play to get you from nw2 to nw1 with your thick hair.

Bad news: You still need to do your homework in order to find a good doctor. maybe it is child's play but you never know. At the bald truth talk forum I think they are more experienced with this and you could maybe ask for hair transplant advice there. Also start a thread here so that others can help you here too.

Treatment like minoxidil and finasteride aren't going to make you a nw1 again, well there is a very low chance.

So at the end you can do 2 things:

- treatment that isn't very likely to get you back to nw1 (it happened but not a lot).
- A hair transplant.

So my advice would be to just take a hairtransplant if your hair isn't getting any worse and your donor is thick.
