What Are The Chances Of Recovering Hair That Minoxidil Sheds?

Minoxidil made hair look noticeably worse before sufficient improvement?

Read below to better understand the options in the poll.

Yes) Minoxidil caused a heavy shed that made my hair noticeably thin but eventually my hair improved and became better than what it was before starting minoxidil.

No) I didn’t experience that much shedding or any shedding and minoxidil improved my hairs thickness.

No results/Just worse) Minoxidil just caused me to loose a lot of hair and I never seen any improvement.

Just looking for votes on the question above. Only asking for two buttons to be pressed. This thread has 77 views now and I take it none of you have ever heard of minoxidil? Please, I know about the shedding and everything, but how many seen improvement after the shedding and was the improvement enough? Im asking for 2 seconds of your time for some clarity. There are other threads similar to this one but they don’t have a poll showing results with a straight and simple answer for those thinking about using this treatment.

I think its because your poll question is worded a bit weird with the answer options. But I will say I had a bad shed and recovered and had good results. I'm also on finasteride. It took about 10 months to see results.

Thank you for your feedback. It will help anyone curious about minoxidil in the future. If you could select YES in the poll above it would be helpful. I tried to clarify the options just in case people are having a hard time understanding the question. I have been using minoxidil for about 1-2 months and I’m starting to fear that it’s doing nothing.

I think any regimen takes time. On the package for minoxidil it says 3 months. I didnt notice anything for almost 10. I know that's stressful to hear but you really have to just be patient and stick it out. Take pictures and wait. I kept my hair pretty short through most of it. And didn't really notice it was all working until I grew my hair out again.

Yeah, I’m about to cut my hair real short soon. It’s gonna hurt because I have always had long thick hair. Anyway, I’m guessing you just used regular rogaine foam? I have this compounded stuff that’s supposed to be better for absorption and what not.
