Looking to make a topical solution.
I have been using RU for the past 2 months or so and truthfully I dont believe it works.

So I'm looking for medical drugs not research chemicals. Do you guys know good anti androgens. Also do you think that they could penetrate the scalp with Propecia Glycol and Alchol solution.

Already on dutasteride btw looking for something that combats testosterone

If you're on dutasteride and RU, i dont know what more could you use. I think it's a powerful combination already.

2 months! Why don't you try it for at least 6 and then assess its effectiveness...?

So you're on dutasteride AND you want something to inhibit testosterone? Stay safe man.

you might as well start dressing up as a woman and have a sex change.

Yupp cyproterone actetate AND flutamide. Very powerful but they cause liver problems. Impotence is also possible but with cyproterone acetate

Cyproterone Acetate, it's probably the most powerful oral anti-androgen available. I would not take it if I were you.

RU58841 will probably be the best experimental topical anti-androgen there is.

I want to make a topical solution. I heard that the way cyperatone acetate works is by inhibiting the production of testosterone or something but does nothing to actually stop it at the source.

I want somethinng that can penetrate the scalp and is an androgen blocker.

Then it looks like RU58841 is going to be your best option. Now, it doesn't actually inhibit DHT like the 5-AR inhibitors, but rather strongly competes against it and is also an androgen receptor antagonist. Getting your own RU58841 powder and then mixing it into Ethanol and Propylene Glycol will be your best current option.

I've actually been planning to incorporate RU58841 into my regimen and have been getting the supplies for the treatment. I am going to be using 100 mg in 1 ml once daily and see how that goes.

Look into 17a estradiol. It has good reviews.
Or opt for miconazole nitrate of about 2%/4%(if you can find one). The cyproterone and flutamide are not healthy to use and RU is expensive.
How is the dutasteride holding up??

I currently don't know anything about 17a estradiol, I'll do a search about it though.

I've seen Miconazole Nitrate 2% at my local grocery store, I never tried it though since I'm maintaining alright with my regimen.

Dutasteride is holding up well. I'm still going to incorporate RU58841 into my regimen as it could really be needed in my case since I'm taking Dutasteride and Minoxidil and I haven't been getting much desired regrowth.

Worried about the absorbency of estrogen into my body.

If the dutasteride question was directed at me then, not well. I was loosing hairs on finasteride and I am loosing them pretty much the safe with dutasteride. I think anyone who cant stabilize their hairloss on finasteride is not going to have success on dutasteride.

Thats why I am looking for something that combats testosterone

can it take over a year for finasteride to show result? Saw a guy who looked much better on finasteride after 24 month than after 12 months!

@mosd
Yupp max is about 2 years. What you get in that time is what you will maintain if finasteride doesn't stop working

Nah cyproterone acetate isn't the strongest. RU exhibited a 20% higher AR binding than cyproterone acetate.

Technically there are even stronger ones around, but they are a no-go anyway.

Swoop,

I see in your regimen that you're using RU58841. I'm curious, I have some questions about this experimental topical anti-androgen and answering them would be helpful if you don't mind:

1) Do you find that it has been helping your hair, and if it really has, how much would you say?
2) Do you find that it helps in anyway at regrowing hair, thickening existing hair, and prolonging the anagen phase?
3) Do you know if it competes with Testosterone and other androgens other than DHT?
4) Have you suffered any side effects and are there really possible ones from this treatment?
5) How much and how often do you use this treatment?

Thank you.
