What are your thoughts on taking .5 finasteride a day instead of 1mg

I have been taking .5 mg of finasteride since 8/01/04.
After about the third month my hairloss just about stoped.
I was only taking .5 mg because my hairloss was not bad, and I'm trying to prolong the amount of time I can use finasteride. (5-8 years, or until somthing better comes out)

as far as the using less propecia so that is effects will last longer, i don't know if there is much data on that. Only the 1mg i believe were used in study over any long period of time. That is an interesting thought though. I say, if the .5 is working for you, and you have stopped hair loss in three months, then i guess stick with it. It saves you money and you can always very easily bump the dosage. best of luck
