im just curious as to how many hairs are people talking about when they say they are shedding. like 30+ hairs in the shower or waking up with a bunch of hairs on your pillow?

I shampoo my hair every 3 days. I notice on average about 30 to 50 hairs. I don't know is that is normal or shedding, so this thread interests me as well!

i notice usually around 15-20 hairs in the shower but it could easily be more if maybe i took a longer shower. usually i find a hair on my hand about 66% of the time i run it through my scalp. i wake up with quite a few hairs on my pillow and shirt in the morning

For me it was about 95% of the time  but now I got a really short haircut I don't notice any when i put my hands through my hair. Still itch here and there though, but not as intense. Less dandruff too.

Well I have noticed recession of the temples along with plenty of itching and shedding. My twin brother on the other hand experiences no shedding (according to him), yet we have the same hairline. He's in the denial stage and even made fun of my recession when I buzzed by hair. So not shedding is not always an indication of not balding I'd say. Shedding could also just be telogen effluvium as opposed to male pattern baldness.
