I can understand why they all are gung-ho about lasers since alot of had success with them. I think if anything the lasers may thicken up the hair cosmetically and decrease your shedding. Possibly even reverse some graying. I think it pretty much has the most effect on existing hairs and getting regrowth is pretty much a crap shoot. However, with any product you have to try it for yourself and if you see any type of positive outcome from it then it might be worth the extra time to use the therapy. If it works for you great, if not then don't bother. I have learned you can read countless positive or negative post about products but the only way to find out if something works is going to involve some "gambling". You may lose your money but at least you will satisfy your curiosity to see if it works for you. I have wasted so much money on the holy grail of skin care and hair care. However, I did find some things that worked along the journey of trial and error. If it worked for me, does not me it works for you. If you don't have the finances to try, then just stick to the basic 3 things we already know. Minoxidil, Propecia or Avodart, and Nizoral can help slow things down on some responders but will not cure baldness. I think people come on here everyday to find someone who has found the holy grail to stop balding. Trust me, the only possible holy grail treatments are going to most likely be invented by a doctor/scientist. I doubt its going to be someone like CCS or any other forum members on here who find the holy grail. I think someone out there is getting close to something new but it maybe a while before we can get our hands on it.

Quantum cat it's not about what anyone think of lasers being able to regrow hair.

I'd really like to know if most people disagree with me as well on that topic (check out my posts, especially about the taking pics part)

It's just strange that i get called "idiotic" for my post and get attacked personally, but noone gives a crap of trying to proof me wrong. I've promoted lasers around here always and i don't think I deserve those reactions.

What i want to say is, that every time someone's not convinced / asks for the proof in form of pics or so of lllt only, I get attacked personally instead of getting some good pics.

Don't take it the wrong way but as an outsider, I think they see you more as a "pest" and you seem to be getting on their nerves so I think anything you say now will not be considered intelligent. You just seem to rub them the wrong way even though you have no intention of doing that. They just perceive your tone as negative and so you get negative reactions.

Yeah I agree. It's like going to a football team fanclub and saying that their team isn't that good. You get attacked instead of having a normal discussion with them.

OMG is an extremely intelligent guy and he is very passionate about LLT because it has been successful for him. He only wants to share his passion with others and if you question his passion, you are going to get burned. I find him very entertaining and very clever.

I've already made my view on lasers clear, :thumbdown2: I've met many guys from the UK who were totally scammed by AHS, and I can see no clear scientific evidence for them to work.

Doctor House has pretty much hit the nail on the head Amsch.

OMG and plenty more are saying they have "regrowth" and you are saying they don't, you think it makes their hair look thicker but less hair. If someone claims to have regrowth, your asking for proof, well, I wouldn't give you pics either Amsch. Why do you think it's up to others to prove it to you? why don't you just try it and see?

With the amount of hype going on there, they should be able to produce some photos showing "WoW" results. What photo evidence I have seen so far ...one would be hard pressed to see any change at all, let alone a jumping up and down " lasers are better than anything out there!"result. ....which is what the most vocal are saying.

They are way too uptight and defensive.

You don't get my point, hairsucks.

We all know that LLLT in terms of hair loss is a strongly debated topic. As far as I know the FDA cleared it for safety, not for promoting hair growth. If you look at laser clinic sites, they all sey they use other "supplements" and topicals along with their 4000$ laser therapy. If I ask them for LLLT only pics they offer me a bad excuse or (mostly) they don't reply at all. Maybe you guys know Dr. Alan Bauman, who is offering lasers for many years, and he says his patients are having great success with it (male and female). But if you go on his photo gallery, most pictures don't really show improvement (if you look closely) and there isn't ONE male in those galleries. If you talk to reliable Doctors who tried LLLT in their practice, they say it did sh*t for hair growth. It seems that every saloon who claims results, also charges like 4000 Dollars for a year treatment.

However, over at regrowth.com there have been like 50 positive user testimonials, but guess what? Almost noone took pics. And if they showed pics, they were mostly what i described: Thicker, but less hair.

Isn't it strange, that there are over 50 users using that thing and noone has good pictures? If they say "Lasers are probably the best thing I ever used" there must be some visible improvement in terms of hair growth (NOT just a cosmetic effect). I tried the laser myself and guess what happened? As I expected, my hair looked better immediately AFTER the session with the lasers.

Here is a pic i found on the internet from a laser saloon. They were also offering "various supplements" (i guess propecia).

Does anyone think the right picture looks better than the first one? I don't. He looks balder to me in the last pic.

Amsch, you must be joking. The photo 1 year later shows significant regrowth. I would gladly give you an eye exam if you would like at no charge. If I saw that and knew nothing about lasers, I would be convinced. His hair looks flatter after a year because he has more hair and the weight causes it to look flatter or less volume. If I cut my hair shorter, I get much better volume but when its long it looks crappy and flat and lacks volume due to more weight.

I would agree with the Doctor on that one.

Amsch do not get discouraged and stay with your treatments. I know hair loss can cause depression in some people but keep the positive thoughts and you will be fine. If you ever want to talk I am here Bro.

Take Care,

If you want to tell me the marked areas look better than you're crazy! And it's quite clear that in the after pic the guy combed his hair toward his recession on the hairline.
